It is a good looking unit and the temperature display is very helpful, but there are some downsides. The manual is very uninformative about how it is meant to work. It took me several days of guesswork to figure out if it was really running and/or if it would heat up when it is needed. As far as I can figure out so far, if you power it up, it will try to maintain the last set temperature, but it won't use the same timer. And that only happens if you program it right to begin with. To set the temperature, you may also need to set the timer. It is not clear whether setting one without the other results in it working. My first few attempts did not get it to work at all (and I suspect that may have been the issue from another reviewer). The swing temperature is not mentioned. You may spend a few days of observing and guessing as to what it will or won't do based upon how you think you did or did not follow the instructions. The ECO label seems to be an act of marketing desperation to get the term ECO into the product at any cost. All it does is turn the display off. Unfortunately, it doesn't turn it completely off. This may be an issue if you want a really dark room -- the one item it leaves illuminated is quite bright. Then again, if you wanted a rather dim nightlight, then it solves that problem. Realistically, there isn't much ECO you can do here with this type of setup. Heat requires power. Less power, less heat. One other noteworthy thing about this unit is how deep it is: It is at least 4 inches deep. More if you use the stand. The photos seem to have gone out of their way to avoid showing that aspect. This is not an unreasonable size given how it works, but it would have been more helpful if it had been showed up front (not an issue for me, but it seems misleading to have not shown that) It is a nice unit overall. Being fan-less, it is almost totally silent -- an occasional subdued click from the thermostat is the only sound it makes. The temperature display is useful and seems accurate. Not too bad overall, and it now seems to be working as as I want. The manual needs work.

The heater works well and is very quiet. I have noisy forced air heat which I turn down and use this heater instead. I gave it 4 stars because the instructions are not clearly written. I figured out how to use it but could not change setting from Celsius to Fahrenheit. I tried the various suggestions in the reviews below but, they did not work. It was easy to add on the casters. Overall I’m really happy with the heat output and sleek design.

I have used so many different internal space heaters so far, several different types and brands, this one is the best one ever. First of all, it does not give any smell to the room. No mechanic smell at all. It warms the room in a very smooth and balanced way, no bothering blowing air or drying air like many other heaters do. It looks very decent and elegant as well. Extremely satisfied.

I spent several hours trying to get the heater to work. It worked for a while one time, then nothing. Remote would not operate the unit, nor would the "buttons" on the panel of the unit. Instructions are terrible - worst I've ever seen and that's saying something. Based on other reviews I'm not going to waste any time trying to pursue any sort of customer support. And I'm not going to invest a week or more of my time (this is based on one of the positive reviews) playing with it to see if I can figure it out. Too bad - it is an attractive heater but if I can't get it to function it's worthless to me. Sorry I spent the time and got my hopes up.

All the branding and labeling makes it sound like this is German-engineered and German-made. It's not, and it's both poorly engineered and made: -The heater is not silent as adverstised. It doesn't have a fan, but it does have a relay that clicks on and off just like most radiator-style oil-filled space heaters you might be familiar with. -Mine still makes the whole room smell concerningly of hot/melted/burned plastic close to a year after I bought it. I've never experienced this with a space heater before. -The computer that controls it and the remote are not intuitive or easy to use. Once past initial setup annoyances and confusion, -Anytime power is cycled (externally) to the heater, the thermostat is re-set to a factory default of 35C = 95F -In order to change the temperature setpoint, you have to press the "Set" button twice followed by the arrow button for every degree change. So, suppose you'd like 22C = 72F, and you unplug the heater and plug it in in a different room, or use it with an external timer that turns the power off at night. You're going to need to press buttons 15 times just to get the settings back the way you had them. And then the room is going to smell like hot plastic.

I ordered this mainly because its modern design. It is quiet and the heat output is good. But it will not be effective for high ceiling rooms since the heat goes upwards. No problem to change the temperature to °F for me but it was not clearly instructed on the manual. Also, the remote is quite flimsy and feels cheap. It would make operating the heater cumbersome if someday the remote ever stop functioning.
