Fire Hazard Warning! Do NOT purchase! Within two minutes of plugging it in, the heating/fan mechanism caught on fire!! Literally, flames and smoke everywhere. Thank God my husband came in when he did. He grabbed it and barely got it outside before he was engulfed in smoke. He saved our family from a disasterous house fire.     • Extremally HOT to touch!!
Do not buy. I unpacked the unit and plugged it in. There is a warning on the top of the dehydrator that says "Hot! Do not touch the housing of the product during work!". When first testing it out I did touch the housing as I wanted to test how "Hot" it really was. I can tell you this dehydrator gets extremally hot. I had the temp set to 158*F and the housing felt every bit that hot on the outside. In my opinion that it too hot to the touch. I have other food dehydrators that while warm on the inside are very cool to the touch on the outside. I feel this could be a major hazard that someone might get burned, not to mention a fire hazard. I noticed when you open the door, the machine turns off, then when you close the door you have to reprogram the unit. The door also has no handle or indentation to be able to open it easily. You have to use your fingernail or something small to get in the small crack between the door and the unit. I didn't even open the trays out of their packing so I'm unable to say whether they fit or not as others have reviewed. The fan is also quite loud. This product will be returned ASAP. ... show more

Very poor build quality. the entire inside is plastic that is not fitted together properly. the shelves are so small that they fall inside. the little plastic tracks that they are supposed to set on do not stick out far enough to hold them up. there is also very little room between shelves. Feels and looks extremely cheap. wish I could send it back but my spouse already threw the box away and used it once. This product had no reviews but looked just like the Magic Mill brand. I never take a chance on things like this for this very reason. Definitely not pleased. Do yourself a favor and just get the Magic Mill. ... show more

After over 10 years of using dehydrators for vegetables and jerky, I thought I was upgrading by buying this. The racks don’t fit once you put something on them (sagging?) it doesn’t cook evenly, the stuff on the sides of the racks doesn’t dehydrate anywhere near the rate the middle does, I’m committed to the elk jerky I put on it today, but when the jerky is done, this dehydrator will immediately be put in the dumpster. $143 of “learning curve” ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Turn rack one way and it's to big. Turn other way to small
