This sifter attachment for the kitchen aid is a must have, I don’t know how I ever enjoyed baking without it! You will be surprised how sifted flour changes the texture / smoothness of your recipes! This attachment is very easy to take apart, store, and clean.

    • Broken parts are nearly impossible to replace
Here's the thing. This product is a fame-changer for anyone who bakes a lot. Keeps your space soooo much tidier, makes it more efficient, and everything tastes better because you've thoroughly sifted the exact amount of dry ingredients that you needed. Here's the rub: Don't drop any of the parts! Lord help you if you even break one part. Replacing that part is dang near impossible. I had to pay about $50 (about half the price we originally paid) after I dropped the hopper, rendering the whole sifter useless. Called the number. That was a project bc they had the hardest time I understanding which part I needed bc it doesn't show up in the system. Finally got it ordered. It would be thrreeeee months before it arrived. Fine. It arrived. They'd sent the wrong piece!!!! Had to go through the fun process of returning it. Reordered the piece. Never arrived at all. Then, COVID hit, so it just wasn't a priority. Now, I'm back in the holiday baking season and am dying without my electric sifter (and it's a pretty pricey thing to just be sitting on a shelf!). Buy it. Just don't expect to get any use out of it if you break any part of it. ... show more

I had been waiting for this to go on sale to justify the cost. Was able to snag it for $100 before Christmas. I am in love! So far, I have only used the sifter feature, as I have not had occasion to weigh ingredients. I love the steady addition of flour to the bowl. It is not necessary to stop mixing and scrape down the sides or bottom. Since I'm not using the scale, I fill the hopper with my dry ingredients on the counter, then put it on the scale to dispense. Like other users, I do wish you could use it without the scale, but that's not a deal breaker at all. I'm still learning how to get all the flour out of the sifter before I remove it, but that will come with practice. If you bake a lot of cookies and cakes, I highly recommend you purchase this. ... show more

    • SIFTER and SCALE ONLY, Bad reviews mostly by people not reading or thinking clearly before buying.
DON’T RIP OR CUT BOX OPEN, it’s designed for storing everything, look for and cut the 3 pieces of tape keeping box flap closed, a strong magnet holds the flap closed, pull on the lower edge out first, then lift the flap. Comes with instructions and a volume to weight conversion guide. IF THE RETAINING KNOB on your mixer head IS VIBRATING LOOSE, try two or three wraps of teflon PLUMBERS tape (not sealant) around the threads takes up the clearance and that should solve the problem without need to apply excess force. It might be stiff the first time you screw it in. My only complaint is that whoever packed the parts at the factory had dirty fingers and left black smudges on the sifter housing.
