If you’re like me, when you have a yearning for ice cream you want it now, without letting the ice cream soften for 20 minutes. My grandparents had an ice cream scoop that was metal. It would freeze your hands off, but there was no waiting for the ice cream to soften. That metal scoop would dish out lovely balls of ice cream without a second thought. I don’t know what happened to that old scoop, but I was hoping to find something similar. I purchased the kitchen aid brand and it is definitely not my grandparents scoop. Albeit, it works better than a spoon, but something is missing. I still have to let the ice cream sit out and soften prior to using. I bought this since my last scoop started rusting. It was a lot more heavy and sturdy than I thought it would be. Which is a great thing. Overall it’s been a better replacement than my previous scoop and it’s nice and simple.
