I haven’t had an automatic can opener since the 1970s when I used a standard plug-in electric. But now with a rotator cuff issue, it has become excruciating to use a manual can opener. So, on my son’s urging (because I’m stubborn and was sticking to my manual opener), I decided to try this gadget. Eureka! It’s just wonderful! It works just as advertised, is compact (fits in my silverware drawer), and has saved me a lot of discomfort in opening cans, and works with the touch of a button! Also, as stated, it works well even on the cans with pull-top rings that some of us seniors have such a time with (all but pop cans). spend time with your loved one the firstv time o make sure they see that it does weir movement but is working. I also found it doesnt work on all cans.

I have a bunch of #10 cans that were difficult to open so I ordered this to make life easier. Well, THAT didn't work out too well. Out of the box, this is so beautiful! Sadly, I tried and tried to get this to open the can to no avail. Repositioned several times, it would go around and around the can, crimping the edge, but not cutting into it. I watcged the video. Still no change. Pros- cute! Fits in the silverware drawer Cons- did not fulfil its intended purpose. Maybe because of the size of the can? This may be a great idea, but it seems it just doesn't handle all kinds of cans. With small ones like tomato past, it keeps slipping off the can. Large ones like peaches, it does the same. I didn't try any others, as not only did it keep slipping off, it went really slow. This may work some others who do not need this kind of opening, but just didn't work for me.
