It took a little while to figure out where to place this can opener. But once I did, it works very well opening cans. I use it daily to open my cat's food. When they hear it opening the can, they come running, knowing it's time for dinner. The one drawback is that the magnet is not strong enough to lift the lid from the can. Short battery life for me, but maybe it's because I trouble getting it to latch on to tuna fish cans so it was wasting a lot of energy. It was easier to use with some other cans sizes. I do love that I can set it up to work while I do other meal prep tasks.

When I first got this, I kept all the packaging as I was expecting to return it. The first time I used it, I thought it hadn't worked as I saw no cut in the lid and it didn't come off. When I picked up the can, the lid just popped off. You have to get used to how to use it, placing it properly at the rim of the can and tilting it slightly so the the cutter and gear engage (definitely does not work if the lid is dented) You also have to get used to the fact that it doesn't cut into the top of the lid like a regular can opener, but rather around the rim. The biggest flaw in it is that the magnet that is supposed to lift the lid off is too small and weak, so to get the lid off you have to gently push up on the rim. Once you get this right, it really works well and is quite entertaining to watch. I was starting to have trouble with using a manual can opener. This does a great job and is easy to store in a drawer, instead of having to take up room on the counter. ... show more

Really does work. After having a stroke my left hand was very weak and I could not use a regular can opener including The regular electric can opener’s that you kinda. I wanted to be able to open a canna soup or vegetables by myself and not depend on everyone all the time. I wasn’t sure how this would work but my first time using it really convinced me. Had a little bit of a high-pitched sound when it was working but it really did great And I like the way the top went off no sharp sides. I open my first can of chicken noodle soup and after putting it in the microwave. I was able to enjoy some thing that I had actually done for myself. Whoever thought these up needs to get a good award. So glad I actually tried to get one. ... show more

This item is great for many reasons. The first is for those who have issues with arthritis and can't turn a manual can opener well. Second is that it frees up space on your counter and it's a small item to store in a drawer. One thing to note is that this opener has problems with the tomato paste cans; it has trouble turning and with multiple pushes of operating button, it may complete the circle of the can but doesn't fully cut it. World's easiest can opener. Just insert 4 AA batteries. Place the opener on top of the can and the magnet holds it tight. Push the start button to start. The opener twirls around the can and stops when complete. Take opener off the can and put away....completely clean. Remove the lid off the can...no sharp edges. Where has this been all my life?! At first, I thought this was the greatest thing ever I showed everybody everybody thought it was neat, everybody wanted one! Then, after about maybe the eighth time I used it it seems I’ve got stuck I couldn’t get it off everything I tried I couldn’t get it off the can so I thought oh maybe it was just the Cannes and then every other can I tried after that it would go wooo-wooop.. and stop. I never worked again. I got so aggravated. I threw it out. Luckily I had my old hand one to finish the job. I was having a big party and it was the worst time for it to fail. I think this Priya product would’ve been amazing. It was the purple one But it didn’t hold up and it isn’t like I used to 1 million times I only use it like maybe eight times and that’s being generous.
