Ended up ordering this to use as a “work bench/area” for my embroidery business. It’s PERFECT. I love the colors and the quality it great. It was a process to put together. However it was an easy process and the instructions were clear. Extremely happy with this purchase. Considering purchasing another one to add more work space. There was a small issue with the stool. One of the metal bars was messed up at the end and ended tearing up part of the stool. However I didn’t really need the stools so I wasn’t too worried about it. I was pleasantly surprised I was able to put this island together with zero assistance from my husband! it took me a few hours by myself. comes in alot of pieces so dont be intimidated. i was a little displeased with direction as there was one piece i had to take part of it apart to put in later and couldnt find anywhere in directions showing it put in. very cute and good storage. unsure on trash can size. still havent found one to fit the one i ordered was barely too big. ill also be staining it walnut. ... show more

The island is really nice! I’m pretty handy and used a drill to speed up the process - it took me probably 1.5 hours to get it together. I would NOT use a normal screwdriver, it would take forever lol. Overall, it feels sturdy and it matches the description. Great storage and a really nice size. We live in a pretty small home and this is a great addition and allowed us to get rid of a much less useable kitchen table. I think my only reservation is that it’s tough to find a trashcan that fits in the trashcan drawer. Anything that is widely available and would fit is too small to actually function as a family trashcan. I may end up pulling the drawer off and just building out another shelf in that space, and keeping our old trashcan beside it. Still, a great island! ... show more

Big lesson to be learn with this Order – watchout who is shipping the item. I usually don’t like leave reviews but this one I had to if I can help someone else from similar headaches. First the instruction is confusing, 98 pieces + 400 bolts & screws? Its very cheap made. I had to call Amazon customer service, wanted to know what my options are, well because it was not delivered by amazon, I am basically on my own. I decided to put it together and the disappointment was bigger: bad quality everywhere from the paint to mismatch countertops. I don’t know why I thought the countertop will be 1 piece well its 2 pcs and they are not even the same length or color – 1 is about 1/16 of inch short. Even the sticky numbers when you try to peel them off, the paint comes off too so I have to paint bunch of spots. Forgot to mention, the 2 packages with weight over 140 lb came from Texas but the seller is in Honk Kong no one to talk to you. Big lesson learned here that’s with sure, this item does not deserve any stars ... show more

Very nice island. Assembly takes a while, there are a bunch of pieces and it is all cam locks and screws. Instructions were clear, each piece is individually numbered. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.
