I broke my left arm and it doesn’t take long to realize that for most things, you actually do use 2 hands! I had a neighbor open a can for me with her traditional electric can opener and I watched as it took 2 hands to use. One to hold the can in my lace and turn and the other to hold down the lever. Well that’s not gonna work for me. Bought this and it works great.

Not going to lie, this confused me at first. I thought it didn't work because I put it on the wrong way, lol. Fairly loud, but it's nice to be able to walk away to another part of the kitchen while this is running.

I gave this a try after hand surgery. It works pretty well, but I sometimes have to do it a couple of times, as it goes around the first time, like it is cutting the can open, but doesn't. And for some reason, it doesn't like to work on Del Monte cans as much as other brands. Perhaps their rims are a bit thicker, but it usually opens the can on the 2nd or 3rd try. If there is any sort of ding or bend on the can rim, it might stop, but that is to be expected. All in all, I am satisfied. It was a good option since I can't use my right hand for several weeks.

I bought one of these Bangrui can openers ...oh I'm guessing about 6 or maybe 8 years ago. It has automatic stop and I have loved it all this time. But now it is wearing out and no longer takes the lid off the can. Just bought a new one. Am not very happy with it. Had trouble putting the cover back on it after putting batteries in it, cover doesn't fit real well. I don't like the new shape of it...the old one fit into my arthritic hand much better. And this one does not have automatic stop as my old one did. I also don't really care for the lid sticking on the can opener when it's done. Whatever is on the can ends up on my counter as well. I have to say, this is the first negative review I have ever wrote about anything. I love this product so much but am disappointed in this particular model. Therefore instead of the 5 I gave the last one, I will give a 3. Please bring back the features on the old can opener. So much easier to use.
