Also more reliable and durable than a hard drive, A400 is built with Flash memory. There are no moving parts, making it less likely to fail than a mechanical hard drive. It is also cooler and quieter, and its shock and vibration resistance which makes it ideal for notebooks and other mobile computing devices. A400 is available in multiple drive form factors and capacities from 120GB–960GB2 to give you all the space you need for applications, videos, photos and other important documents. You can also replace your hard drive or a smaller SSD with a drive big enough to hold all your files. This SSD is designed for use in desktop and notebook computer workloads and is not intended for Server environments.

Using it for lubuntu currently for the last few months in an old 2010ish acer aspire one 533, works well with write cache enabled, pretty fast for what it is, very cool running even when loaded down. Seems to be very well made for the money, no cheap plastic case, uses real Kingston flash memory too and more incredibly a phison nand flash controller, most cheap SSD's use some cheap junk from some unknown hongkong special but not this one. Very good value, buy this over that other junk from TeamGroup, pny or even sandisk "excluding their top of the line SanDisk Ultra series, those are actually good" But yes, A Samsung Evo 870 will cream both this in terms of specs and speed, but for the price, it's better than anything else cheaper or the same cost, it is certainly better than an overpriced wd blue ssd drive too and CHEAPER by about 40 bucks. I just got another A400 480gb model on the way to use in another 2009ish netbook, this time, a Compaq c110 mini which has windows 7 on it, tho to get it to run as efficiently and reliably as possible, much like with Linux, you do have to tweak some things if you really wanna be picky like I am., Even without doing anything, I know this drive will still last forever pretty much.
