Why did you pick this product vs others?: I am very happy with this product. Albeit slow on first use, it's not as slow as some of the reviewers lead you to believe. Some of the speed probably comes from your phone's internet speed, as it must download new firmware updates, and new software updates in the app for your specific car. It was recommended by Scotty Kilmer on Youtube, and It has surpassed my expectations. I especially like that there are no yearly subscription fees, .that you can generate reports of the scans and email them as PDFs, and that It comes with a very nice carry case. No issues on a 2006 Tacoma, on a 2003 Tacoma I had to manually enter the VIN.

Overall I would recommend. Yes it’s slow but for 100 dollars it’s to be expected. You basically get a professional level scan tool at a consumer price/quality. I was able to get live monitoring, bi directional tests, and even reprogram a key transponder. I tried it on three different cars and it worked well. With that being said the software is SLOW and buggy and will teach you to be patient. If you can get past that I think there’s a lot of value in this tool especially if it continues work down the line. With that being said customer support is TERRIBLE/Non existent. They must be on the opposite side of the globe because it takes a day to get an email back(time zone?), I had an issue and they answered me once before ghosting me. I basically had to figure it out on my own. But if you’re using this caliber of scan tool you best have some knowledge of your own or you could mess something up. 4 stars for the product 0 stars for the customer support.

So small a scanner it is very easy to keep it with you when you travel, when buying a used car, could save you hundreds of Dollars, when you can look up codes on your test drive. I have a 2023 Subaru Forester limited I recently purchased used. After watching a number of youtube reviews about the blu tooth scanners, I chose this one. I just trusted it would work. NOT. I have tried it a number of times now. I have updated the firmware, tried it with the car completely off and in the run mode just to see if it made a difference, and it doesn't. The correct way to use these is with the vehicle in the On/Run state. Well, this device can't even read my VIN. Can't activate anything - and I downloaded specifically the lights and the sunroof activation parts, and Suburu doesn't even show as an option once you try to then use those modules. In fact, it does not appear to support any Subaru newer than a 2019. I really want this to work as it does everything I was looking for - except it doesn't. I looked in the instructions and saw they had 24/7 support so I emailed them. Two days later it's crickets, and yes there was nothing in my spam folder. So, they are five years behind on models, can't even read the vin not to mention anything else. Ya, it's going back, and I'm not happy about it.

I just added this little gadget to the arsenal and I've been very happy with it so far! I have a larger scan tool that I purchased several months back but being able to just keep this in the car at all times due to its small size has been very convenient. I personally had no issues with it being slow, and this is with using it on my 2023 Expedition and my wife's 2025 Suburban. Perhaps on older, slower CAN protocols this might be slow to read, but I was able to read all systems on both vehicles in under 1 minute for each vehicle-- This is very comparable to my regular scan tool. Great product and glad someone brought something with such a small form factor, to the market!

I tested this against my three cars that I have with one in particular I needed help with diagnosing issues. I found that this device was roughly the same in most regards as much cheaper devices. One particular issue was I found that I could not access graphing of live signal data with this device as I could for the cheaper one with the cheaper apps. This one did show me ABS data which I could not get for my cheaper device. But that's very simple to understand where the ABS circuit can have faults.
