For the most part very useful! I got this set mostly for the marking pencils, but the other items work beautifully! I have used them for projects after the fact. The only issue I had was the pens came empty. It had the four refills though so not terrible. Just disappointing. I was impressed with the tailor's chalk. I thought they would be small but they are normal size and worked very smooth. The pencils mark well but I do wish they were longer. I had to sharpen them as I used them and it reduced very quickly. It was marking a grid on Aida so it was rough usage. I would love to buy these pencils on their own. The flow of the pens are good as well. I didn't want to use them on my project but it would have done as beautiful a job as the pencils. I have used these for a few months and they have not dried out. The video shows how well it flows. I am barely touching the fabric of my Aida also does well on various cotton fabrics so far. Recommended for sure! Buy and Enjoy the value. ... show more

Disappointed in performance of marking pens. Once opened,pens marked well,but after couple days would not longer make a mark on fabric or paper. Chaulk works fine,crumbles like most chaulk I've used. The 3 fabric markers work as expected. I purchased this set mainly for the 4 pencils with refills but since they dont work as expected I would not buy again. Fabric markers I have but did need refill on chaulk so the set seemed a good value, but for me ended up a very costly way to replenish chaulk. Having used several of the pieces I can no longer return so very disappointed. ... show more

Great set! I received everything as described. All chalk was intact and nothing was broken. I prefer the marker chalk on the thinner side and these designs are for thin accurate lines.
