I’m not a trailer, just a new seamstress who needed something to draw on fabric to cut and follow seam allowances. The chalk is great for that. For the most part very useful! I got this set mostly for the marking pencils, but the other items work beautifully! I have used them for projects after the fact. The only issue I had was the pens came empty. It had the four refills though so not terrible. Just disappointing. I was impressed with the tailor's chalk. I thought they would be small but they are normal size and worked very smooth. The pencils mark well but I do wish they were longer. I had to sharpen them as I used them and it reduced very quickly. It was marking a grid on Aida so it was rough usage. I would love to buy these pencils on their own. The flow of the pens are good as well. I didn't want to use them on my project but it would have done as beautiful a job as the pencils. I have used these for a few months and they have not dried out. The video shows how well it flows. I am barely touching the fabric of my Aida also does well on various cotton fabrics so far. Recommended for sure! Buy and Enjoy the value. ... show more

I have used different types of pen/pencil, chalk, or whatever to mark the spot. I have finally decided to take the plunge and get the tailor chalk. Quick delivery. I was floored when I got the package and opened the box. Very nice presentation. I opened the little box and very nicely placed are chalks, which are so big and such pretty colors. I have been using the colors that show clearly on my materials. I like how the chalk is soft enough to mark yet hard as not to make a mess of the hand. For the price it is decent, it comes with a lot of stuff. The chalk itself easily crumbles, luckily it wipes off fairly quickly. My issue is with the heat erasable pens, the white/red/blue/black will disappear when I use my iron, but it leaves behind a distinctive line that I cannot erase. I am making a dress with a light blue satin and I marked a dart on the back side of the fabric but you can see the pen through the fabric on the right side. Luckily I am covering up the right side, but if I was not it has practically ruined the pieces. ... show more
