This wood splitter is a heavy-duty one that is designed to make splitting kindling easy and safe. It is made of a single piece of cast iron, which makes it very sturdy and durable. A couple of years ago, I got interested in smoking meat using the traditional offset smoker. Now I can easily split my Pecans so it would easily fit. I had to buy a small sledgehammer heavy enough. I thought this came with one based on one of the product pictures. This product is poorly made, the first one I purchased broke within a week of my husband using it. ( Christmas gift) sent it back for a replacement and that one is now broken. I’ve missed my opportunity to return it but at this point would just like a refund.
