We moved to a new area and our water was pretty high in chlorine and didn't taste great. When you filled the bathtub, it smelled like a pool. This system fixed all that! We are super happy with it. Our water wasn't particularly hard so I'm not sure what if anything the eSoft stage is bringing to the party but overall it's a great package at a good price. I mounted it in the basement but we hired a plumber for the final install. I've never worked with PEX before and left it to the pros. But the installation was clear and not complicated. Take the lubrication of the o-rings seriously. It will leak if you don't. No leaks. Seems pretty well made, though I would have been happy to pay more for a metal manifold. I'm a little nervous for the durability of that over time. But it is very thick plastic. π€·

Before installing this filter system, I couldn't even brush my teeth in the house - the water tasted terrible. Within a day, the water was much better. It seems to be getter better as time passes. I'm assuming the gunk in the water lines is being cleared out with use. I find it well worth the cost.

It works great love the improvement in the taste of water and reduced hardness. but i was getting leaks from the manifold for all 3 stage cylinders. I am surprised they do not recommend a high quality thread sealant for the 3 stage cylinders that screw into the manifold. You can only tighten the threads up so much. Adding 2 complete wraps of Blue Monster ptfe thread seal tape easily resolved the problem but it sucked because i had to take the cylinders off the manifold to add the thread sealant

After installing this system, our tap water tastes better than bottled water. I bought this system because it has everything that I need and the maintenance seemed straight forward. I was looking for a system that had not only particle filters and carbon filters but also, our tap water is extremely hard. So, the softener was a must as well. The UV was extra but we decided to get it. It isn't a critical piece though. I just want the option to be able to turn it on, in case, we need it. I know it's supposed to be on all the time but we don't need it like that. We aren't treating well water. I did some shopping around before settling on this system by Kind. One of the systems I was looking at had the exact same setup (carbon filter, debris filter, water softener, and UV) and they wanted $15,000. I literally laughed when the rep, who was in my house doing a demo, told me the cost. In any case, I believe this is a great value and the UV is a must if you have well water. Installation: I'm a DIY homeowner and I took on the challenge of installing this water treatment system on my own. It took me a few days to put the pieces together and then to gather the confidence to cut the main water line to my house. But it all went much easier than I expected. I did fall into 4 traps, two of which aren't explained very well in the installation instructions (see below). Trap 1: (UV) Do NOT touch the glass sleeve or the UV tube with your fingers. Trap 2: (UV) Before inserting the sleeve, place the rubber O-Ring around the open end and slide it down to the mark (about 1/2"). This will make sure the gasket is seated correctly and should not leak. Trap 3: The big blue filter canisters each have a rubber gasket that is too large for the groove that they are supposed to sit into. TIP: lube up the gaskets and place them into a plastic bag in the freezer for 24 hours or more. This will shrink the gaskets just enough so that you will be able to QUICKLY press them into the groove on the canister and twist the canister into position before they stretch back out. Trap 4: Use thread tape on the male threaded parts and thread sealer on the female threaded parts. Once it's installed, you will thank yourself. 5 stars.

Since this is a conditioner, not a softener, there's still scale in the water. They say it alters the hardness to not adhere to surfaces -- and it seems like it helps, but not 100%. Photo attached, left is after scraping off most of the scale on a shower head and using the Kind system for 4 months. Right is the same shower head but with 4 months of hard water + 4 months of Kind conditioned water. You can see the left is still far better than the right, but the scale does still build up slowly. Hard to tell what's actually happening in the pipes. I've cleaned the shower head again and will see how it does in another 4 months. Also note there is a slight but noticeable drop in water pressure. I installed this in my basement, and the primary shower two floors up will see its pressure drop a bit if a toilet is flushed during the shower. Not terribly, but still noticeable, and not something that happened before this was installed. I'm not sure if this is unique to the Kind system vs. traditional softener, however. I had a slow drip from one of the three cartridges during the initial install, but re-installing with fresh lubricant fixed it.

Had a plumber install in the house crawl space and so far I am thrilled with my water quality. My water is more than 2x as hard as normal so the 3000 was the right choice

Compact system that filters everything bad out. I had a plumber install it. I had tested the water before installing and the water came out very low in chlorine and very high in bacteria. I used Detekt water testing kit I got through Amazon to test the water. I retested the water after installation and the water came out negative for bacteria within 72 hours. I used a sterile cup to collect the water sample. After 72 hours the readings are not longer indicative of contamination per phone call with Detekt. I also tested bottled water to compare and found that the bottled water treated with UV light and reverse osmosis was positive for bacteria but Kind UV system treated water was bacteria free within 72 hours of testing.
