This nifty little reciprocating saw comes with everything you need to get started on that list of to-dos around the house. I love that it came with battery, charger, and four blades, as well as a nice bag. Nothing else to buy. But the main thing I love is how lightweight it is. I’m an older woman and have found some of the cordless tools too heavy to use and control. That is not the case with this one, and that’s the main reason I chose it. I’ve used it to cut wood (fence boards and 2x4s, as well as branches on trees), metal (nails and thin pipe) and PVC pipe. It’s no replacement for either my circular saw or my jigsaw, but for small jobs that don’t require great precision, it’s just the thing. With no cord and a powerful battery, it’s so convenient to grab and take out to the back forty. I like the color too! A terrific addition to my tool cabinet.

I have now received and just started using your reciprocating cordless saw, my first ever! I bought it to remove ivy that had wrapped itself around two fruit trees all the way up to the top. The saw instructions manual was easy to follow. There were four saw blades, two for wood and two for metal. The short wood saw blade was easy to install, but the battery was a bit difficult to slide into place. It was pretty well charged up so I didn't have to wait long to get out there and start sawing. I love the tote bag and the green/black colours. The machine is powerful enough to easily cut through ivy stems that are as thick as a five inches in diameter. I used eye and hearing protection so was not bothered by the motor noise nor wood dust. I'm a small older female so was concerned it might be too heavy. However, once I got used to operating the safety lever each time I started the saw, holding the slimline motor with two hands was very manageable. I'm really looking forward to tackling other sawing tasks around my cottage!

Upon first glanse, it appears to be a childs toy especially due to how lite weight it is. Once batteries were charged (about an hour to top off both), I wasted no time in putting it to the test, and it did not cower down to the bigger branches. The test results were conclusive, I had made a huge mess with this little beast. Limbs as long as 15 feet and over 5 inches in diameter hardly took a toll on the battery and the chain remained just as tight as when I started. The saw itself remained surprisingly clean after all was cut down. My 14 inch gas powered saw is always caked with debris and a hassle to operate compared to this easy to handle tree eater. Now I have a complaint, however, there are a few things missing from my kit, but I am sure that will be taken care of. Will KIMO keep their five stars? Stay tuned as I will update this review based on my experience w/ the customer service.
