We bought it knowing the possible problems bc of the mixed reviews, but for the price we gave it a shot. We tried all of the tips and tricks mentioned in the reviews as well as a few videos and it does not seal the bags and stay closed. We are using it for cookie/icing decorations and it blows out almost every time no matter how tight we twist the bags, how much we punch and twist the tape, or how many layers of tape we use. If you aren’t using this for pressure applications or for somewhat wet applications then it may work for you, but it is a total fail for us.

This is a good solid product that does what it says. If you are looking to seal things along the lines of a plastic bread bag, this will do a great job. If you are looking to seal a garbage bag, this does not have the sticking power. Solid quality build.

It is ok for tight the bag or anything in general, but not tight enough for sausage making links, or anything what required tight seal.

Everything about this machine is wonderful, except I had hoped to use it to secure the wrapping around a caramel apple stick. The stick with the wrapping ended up being too thick to use, and sadly, I had to return it. Be sure you check the diameter of what you are hoping to use it for with the dimensions of the machine to include the wrapping around it if you are using an apple stick. I believe it would work great around a popsicle stick where those are not as thick. Other than my failing to measure first before buying, this is a great machine. It comes with two spools of red tape which is very generous. The instructions are also very easy to follow!

OMG, this has been a godsend with my hundreds of bags of frosting! For the last few years I had been using zip ties, but this is so much faster, and just as effective. I wish I had known about this years ago!
