I am very happy with this thing. I am running it off a Taramps MD1200, and it is absurdly loud. I know I am feeding it more power than is recommended, but it handles it like a champ. If the signal is clean, this thing will NOT disappoint unless you are the most extreme of bassheads. I plan on getting another one, as it is a BEAST for the price. It looks very nice in the back of my 2016 Explorer Sport, and is a huge upgrade over the stock Sony "Premium" system. I use a quality LOC to feed the Taramps, and have it dialed in correctly, and have taken all bass from the other speakers. Now, the system is VERY clear and stupid loud in the vehicle. I can feel the bass in my hair, and the only complaint it the bass hits so hard the mirror rattles loudly (makes a buzzing sound due to vibration) and adjusts itself randomly when I uncork the genie. I beat on this thing until my ears hurt, and it handles it like a boss. It is highly durable after break in, and with a clean signal the sound is precise and satisfying. I listen to everything from 916Frosty to classical music, and even songs I never knew had bass come alive with this monster. If you got the cash BUY it!!!! ... show more

It thumps for sure. I thought about getting the model with two subs. Not needed. If you heard it use and I told you it just one sub, you would think I was lying. Now it’s in a Jeep, so it’s a very open space, so I don’t know if it would be as effective as two if was in a trunk that’s closed off to the cab of the vehicle. Someone else would have to give you their opinion on that scenario. ... show more

The sub can handle whatever you throw at it! It is incredibly loud with my taramps big boss 3K! Also worked great with the kicker 800.1 but I wired mine down to 1 ohm. Great build quality and performance

This thing slams. Like "OMG that's a single 12?!?!" kind of slams. It's "damn, I hope I don't break something in my car" type of slam. I'm only feeding it with the 500w channel of a 5 channel amp. I can only imagine what it would do with a proper amp. Seriously, this is the one to buy. It doesn't take up a lot of room. It's a beautiful box and driver. Did I mention it slams? ... show more
