I wanted a single woofer box to fit under the back seat of a crew cab Chevy truck. I started measuring and drawing plans to build a proper sealed box which required a shallow mount sub. I found this Kicker loaded enclosure which was pretty close to what I designed to build and gave it a try. It has nice clean bass guitar and bass drum notes. I had a two 12" speaker box in my trunk. It was really nice sound but it took to much room. I replaced it with this speaker and very happy I did. The bass was awesome compared to my previous box. again very happy with the change.

I order 2 of these speakers.2 months apart.The first one I received I was. Very impressed with the quality of base So I decided to get a second one I received it. And it had a popping noise coming from the speaker Sent it back and got a refund At first I didn't like the quality of sound but once the speaker broke in Which took about a week or 2. The quality of the base improved.up date First speaker I bought started popping.Only half 400 W, pushing it at 2 ohms. Bought back in february contact the kicker about warranty Really disappointed in this product at this moment. not even a year old ... show more

I bought one for my dad and hooked it up to a 300 watt rockford fosgate amplifier. After a week of use the subwoofer started sounding like it was popped. It kinda sounded like the clicking noise everything the bass hit. I had also ordered another for my brother and that one was hooked up to a 500 watt JL amplifier. And withing 30 minutes of testing it, it did the same thing. These subwoofers are absolutely trash. Don't recommend them. I was a kicker fan for a long time but after these 2 subwoofer going bad on me. I will probably won't but them again. I also had 2 shallow mount l7 blow on me too. ... show more
