It's only been a month but most days have been hot ones and this seems to have no problem keeping our double wide mobile home cool, it has been cooling the kitchen, dining and living room areas making them very comfortable despite poor insulation of the trailer and manages to satisfy the unit. Now the question is how long this unit can continue operating on this level, I will update in a few months - good or bad. I believe we made a good choice with this product. Time will tell. Do like that the remote control can control temperature versus the thermostat in the unit, that way the whole area gets cool and not just the area around the unit. Noise level is normal as it is a window unit , you do hear it running as expected nothing crazy & you can't expect it to be whisper quiet and still do it's job, it is a good size unit. ... show more

Installed the 2,500 btu unit in my 1,500 sq ft shop building. Ceiling is twenty foot but insulation is 10" on walls and ceiling. This A/C unit keeps my shop at 76° without any problem even with the outside temps around 100°. Zero problems two years after purchase.

This unit made a huge difference in temp in my approximately 450 - 500 sq ft room. My room has tons of windows and is the hottest of the rooms upstairs. One con is that it’s so loud but I’ll take it over the heat. I love it and will likely buy another next year for my dining room.

Update as of 08/04/2024: After owning this for a few months the AC has begun to leak into my bedroom from the front of the AC.. It’s installed properly and just began leaking. I’ve maintained the filter and not sure why this is happening. Of course I don’t have the original box this thing came in because it’s massive.. I can confirm that the condensation line is not clogged and is free of debris.. This unit was boxed and shipped perfectly. It was packed more secure than Fort Knox! Out of the box it was ready to use. Only had to mount the side shutter! It comes with a remote and batteries.. Unit wasn’t as heavy as I thought it would be.. It fit in the window with no issues.. Down to the gritty, the remote had a delay from the button push to the AC, but I don’t mind it serves its purpose! The air flow on low, medium and high are noticeably strong than my previous AC… I have it set on 68 and my room already cooled down, even with the door open.. Noise wise, very quiet.. Shocking because it’s 12,000 BTUs As for cooling, it gets the job done with no issues so far. I’ll update next week because temps are expected to be in the 90s this week.. For $285, you can’t beat that price. You definitely get more bang for your buck with this AC.. ... show more

The only thing I found weird about it was the remote control doesn't seem to work properly with the unit itself, but I probably need to read the directions more. It works great, installation wasn't bad.... And I love the fact that it has a built-in dehumidifier. I tried that on a very humid day and that actually helped a lot ... show more

This unit is fantastic it runs quite as can be cools off the house to good lol did I say it's ice cold air the remote is amazing as to it located in a wall and makes for easy control the remote control is amazing hands down it come on time only thing is it's heavy get help do not try to install alone other the it replaced a 22 year old whirlpool I definitely feel the quality is completely similar and can see why 15 to 20 years use with proper care. The temperature display on the remote in room temperature all the controls are simple even for my boomer Dad hehe ... show more

Good air conditioner for bedroom. I was looking for something lightweight and this fits the bill. I have a similar size GE and it looks identical to this. Works great and we run the fan on low speed since it’s a little noisy on high.
