We are having an epic, sustained heatwave in Colorado right now, and as much as I love my evaporative cooler, it simply can't keep up. It's done an excellent job for 6 years in normal CO summers, but this current heatwave is just too much, so I gave in and bought this portable AC. Let me tell you, it puts out icy cold air and could easily cover a large room or even several rooms if you have the right setup (I kind of do, but don't want to forego using the evaporative cooler completely because the rest of my house would turn into a 500 degree oven). I'm so glad I bought this....setup is easy, you can roll it around where you most need it (providing you can vent it properly) and the phone app is spectacular! Super easy to control the AC from wherever you are (in my case, I work all day, my dog is home and I don't want him to be miserable, so I can turn on the AC in the afternoon when the high heat really kicks in...from the office, instead of running it all day long!). It automatically turns on and off once you have set the temperature that you want, it has 3 fan speeds, none of which I consider loud at all (I slept like a baby last night!). I can't speak to its longevity, because I just got it, but I'm praying that it lasts a very long time. Great purchase!

The weight of the unit is 57 pounds. I noticed in other reviews that people were having trouble following instructions. The piece that attaches to the window mount must be screwed in COUNTER CLOCKWISE. You will probably need several small screws to hold the window mount firmly in place, just like you would a regular AC. It's rather noisy, a bit more than a regular window mounted air conditioner. This does not bother me because I mentally filter out the noise. If you can't do this, this may not be the right product for you. I already have central AC but I wanted my bedroom to be at 63 degrees at night without freezing out the rest of the household. The performance in the cooling area is perfection. If you live in a condo that has rules against window air conditioners, this is just the thing for you. My bedroom is 450 square feet and it totally cools it and quick. The instruction manual isn't that great, which is why people struggle with the installation. The unit is 57 pounds, but you don't have to lift it into the window and remove it in the fall. It's easy to uninstall and roll around. I suggest that the manufacturer have a customer service line to help people with their installation questions. Cons: Instruction manual. Noise level. Lack of customer support. No information on weight in product description. Pros: Portable. Cools quickly. Can be used with unusually shaped windows. No unsightly window AC unit. I hope that helps.

I got this AC unit to keep my garage a little more comfortable during the Texas summer. We haven't hit the extreme temps yet, but so far so good! It does what I wanted-- my garage is no longer an oven and I can actually get things done in there. I imagine in a better insulated environment it has no problem cooling a room to a genuinely cool temperature. I'm not too concerned about the noise level in my garage, but I'd say it's a reasonable level that most people would have no problem with, even in a bedroom while sleeping. It came with everything needed for setting it up, and I was up and running in under 15 minutes. The remote is handy and functional, and it's easy to move around if you need to (handles and wheels). Really happy with the A/C function and looking forward to seeing what the heater can do in the winter!

Do not buy this unit! After a year or so I started getting crazy sinus issues out of nowhere. Then the unit stopped cooling. I had an ac repair friend stop by to give it a Quick Look. He showed me how the top filters were flimsy and hardly did anything. Then he opened the unit and audibly gasped. The entire unit was covered in mold. Also the bottom section has no way to clean the filter near the floor. Just for a reference my house never gets above 72 degrees and we have dehumidifiers everywhere. He said he couldn’t believe how poorly designed this was and based on how it was designed he was shocked it lasted this long. He also said based on the design he would bet almost all of the units will be prone to housing mold on the inside unless they are fully taken apart regularly cleaned professionally! I spoke with my doctor and he 100% believes this unit has been the culprit of my recent severe sinus issues. Breathing in mold at night when you sleep is a recipe for disaster. Do not buy this unit. It is poorly designed and has a high likelihood of housing mold without you being able to get to it and an even higher chance of breaking down long before you expect it to. I put in a complaint to the manufacturer through Amazon but based on other reviews here it doesn’t sound like they will be much help. Avoid this unit at all cost!

I purchased this A/C unit to place it in the living room this summer because it gets direct sunlight, and it has been a game-changer. We love it already, it's such an advanced piece of tech. It's super fast, literally drops the overall temp in the house in minutes. And the dehumidifier is a HUGE plus to have, as we live near Lake Michigan. So these summer nights can get muggy quick. The feature that I love the most is going to be the WiFi and app. It's a game chamger to be able to turn the AC on from my phone before I get home. That way we dont have the a/c running all day wasting energy. I turn jt on as I'm leaving work, and by the time I get home the house is nice and cool. It was really easy to install and operate, including the windows kit. It fit perfectly in our living room window for the exhaust.

I have a 2017 Bighorn fifth wheel with two 15,000 BTU roof AC units. Living in the coach is okay until the outside temps reach 100 degrees; after that, it's no fun. Because we had to live in the coach this summer while waiting for our new Tucson home to be completed, I quickly saw the need for more AC capacity. Rather than have the dealer install a third 15,000 BTU roof AC unit (about $3,700), I decided to order this 10,000 BTU Serenelife portable unit. At only 57 pounds, it's not too heavy to get in the RV and the compact dimensions were an added plus. A friend and I rigged up a custom exhaust plate for one of the windows and that was it, installation complete. I was worried whether the amp draw would throw a circuit breaker inside the coach but it never happened. Long story short: After four months in temperatures that twice reached 117 degrees, this Serenelife portable unit performed flawlessly. I never turned it on until the outside temps hit 102 or 103. It was able to drop the inside temps from 86–87 degrees to 82 degrees every time. And believe it or not, it's relatively quiet. Be sure to watch your appliance usage with running three AC units — do not use your toaster, water heater, or microwave until later. If you are thinking about buying a portable AC for your RV or small room in your home then guys, this is definitely the one. Just my 2 cents.

Overall, this unit is GREAT! It blows very cold, even on the low fan setting of cooling. However, trying to set the app up was a bit confusing. You’ll need a 2.4 GHZ WiFi connection. I had to split my Xfinity modem to have both a 2.4 and a 5 GHZ. Once I split the modem up via the Xfinity app, the fan’s WiFi found the 2.4 signal and connected fairly easily. You’ll also need the SmartLife app. Another hiccup we’ve run into is, and very rarely but it does happen, but the unit will be running cooling mode and then all of a sudden it will turn off the compressor and the fan. It’s almost like it turns itself off. It’s possible that once the room reaches the cooling temp setting, it may do that. We keep ours at 60. The unit with restart itself fairly quickly, within 5-10 seconds, but it’s just strange. The instructions don’t list that as a possibility, and customer service didn’t really know why it was doing it either. Overall, this is a really great unit for the price as it cools very well for our bedroom which is around 195 square feet. We live in a very hot and humid area of the US, and this does a great job in the heat.

The SereneLife SLPAC105W does the job in cooling a room down. I use it in a poorly insulated 14 x 20 addition off the back of my house that gets direct sunlight for 12 hours a day. Using just fans, the room will heat up into the mid-90s during the NC summer days, but this unit cools the room to a very chilly 68 degrees quite nicely. Never have to empty the internal water storage during the season. Easy to set up the vent pipe and window installation plate (though I did have to cut down a portion of it to make it fit my window - 10 minutes). The nice thing about these types of units is you don't have to insulate/seal around a unit sitting in the window because the window's screen doesn't need to be moved to accommodate. Thus, no bugs get access to your room! Also, once the initial set up is done, it takes less than a minute to raise the window, put the installation plate in place and adjust to the proper size, lower the window (I recommend using a small piece of foam on the sliding end of the installation plate to get a better seal with the bottom of the window) and slide the window firmly down on the installation plate. Make sure to wrap the exhaust pipe in some sort of insulating material as it will heat up when the unit is running. Recommend using pipe insulation wrap (fiberglass). My only hit on this unit is that it says it is WiFi enabled, but there are absolutely no instructions on how you can access that feature either on the website or in the manual.
