I think I can cope with getting up and pushing the buttons on the A/C without a remote. I've never had a remote for an A/C that did more than turn it on and off anyway. I'm sure if I turned the temperature down, it probably would chill down a lot more. It doesn't seem to use much power, either. It installed in a few minutes, no fuss, no issues, no parts left over. I had been looking for an air conditioner that can really cool down my living room area during these summer heat waves. I have many open areas. Other than my living room; I have a hallway, kitchen and bathroom all around one another. This air conditioner keeps my living room cold. I have to program it to stay within the 70s. I have blackout curtain which also helps from the sun rays from coming into my living room. The remote control doesn’t work. I’m glad I waited for a bit before giving my review. I bought this in May 15 2023, in August 20 2023 quit cooling! It worked great at first and I didn’t really have any complaints. Then it just stopped cooling. I called and they said that I needed to cut the plug and send it to them and once they received that they would send my replacement. It’s been 5 weeks and I still don’t have the replacement. I’ve called 5 times and have gotten different information, first they said 2 weeks, business days , and I would receive it, then I was told 3 weeks, and I’m wondering how it is that Amazon, a retailer can ship this in 2 days but the manufacturer needs 3 weeks? I’ve already paid for this piece of crap so I had to suffer the heat wave we’ve had and endure a higher AC bill thinking it will come. I’m convinced it will never come. I don’t even want it anymore. If I had known this would be how terrible customer service would be I would have bought a different model and at least save on the AC bill. I’m so pissed! DO NOT BUY THIS , seems like a lot of people are experiencing cooling issues . Also wait to give your review until you’ve tested it out a few months. ... show more
