Cools a big 26 x24 workshop with a metal roof, I’d recommend letting it run for 10 minutes, and checking which side the condensation pools towards, & drilling a release hole in the chassis. The factory drain plug is not in the correct location for draining on mine. The packaging surprised me, & it arrived with the coils undamaged. I still let it sit upright for a day before starting it up to make sure the oils in the compressor were not upset from traveling. I cut a hole in the wall of my workshop, the rough opening for this unit is 15 inches x 19.25 inches wide, & she’ll slide right in. ... show more

Great replacement for my 3 year old Frigidare 5000 watt AC, which the plastic knobs broke off and stopped getting cold last year. I dont expect miracles for under $150. This one puts out ice cold air. But do not expect it to cool a room larger than it says. I wud say 150 square feet tops.

Unit was delivered the day after purchase. It is a little loud but does produce a great amount of cold air. This unit keeps my living room, kitchen and laundry room very cool even during 95 degree days in Florida. Thats roughly a 700 sq ft area. Would recommend to buy, especially for the price. Works absolutely amazing. My room traps heat like no other and it gets well above 80° in here during the summer. Since installing it’ll get my room cold enough to the point I can have a hoodie and sweatpants off and be more than comfortable. 4 stars because there’s no auto options, not remote. It also runs kind of loud but both of those things can be easily overlooked bc it cools the room so well, and you get used to the noise quickly ... show more

    • floating shroud "UPDATE" twice

update again lowering to 1 star this thing is a rattly piece of garbage.DO NOT BUY !!! got the first one and within an hour it the fan started hitting the Styrofoam shroud. sent it back and received replacement within and hour or 2 fan once again started hitting the shroud again.so after a looking at it a bit i figured it out.there is no hole in the drip pan and the entire pan was filled with water from the condensation.so against my better judgement seeing as i may lose my warrantee i drilled a hole once the water drained(allot of water)the shroud no longer was floating and quit makking noise.with that i cannot recommend this AC unit,even though it works fine now.i did send them a message about the flaw and never heard anything. UPDATE ..the fin(vent) shroud has been making noise due to poor fit had to tape down to stop rattling ... show more

LOVE IT! Sooooooo cold. My bedroom is in a second story old brick house. My old air conditioner barely did anything to keep it cool. This one keeps the whole floor nice and cold, I even had to turn it on low! With blankets on! Came with foam and weatherstripping to insulate.
