Good all around

Everything about this was easy to set up and its cooling power. It was so needed. I was in a desperate need of an AC and I didn’t have high expectations, but this definitely came through and surprised me. It gets cold talk fast. It’s easy to set how cold you want it and times to turn off and on.

When I received this, I was so shocked at how big it is! Just the look of this portable air conditioner is impressive. Airflow is beautiful, and strong. It’s a little bit noisy but that’s considered when buying something like this. Definitely recommending this! Unfortunately my bedroom window feels gigantic cause you can see at the top it’s still exposed, so I had to order the window seal kit that’s longer. Definitely worth the money you spend to pay for this, incredibly easier than putting the air conditioner in the window. 👍 ... show more

Better than a window ac

Works great so far, it just act like it don't want to blow cold air sometimes. After like 5 mins it starts back getting cold. sometimes it cut off if the ac on to long, if that happens I put it in dry mode and that'll keep it on low cold without turning off. So it's a ok ac unit, it's better than all my window ac units that was leaking water back into my house, because of how my window is made. Just keep a eye on the water level so it want leak I put a huge tank behind mind in empty it every week or 2 ... show more

Can't Recommend Shinco Portable Air Conditioner.

The unit failed after 3 months of operation. While the unit is actually beautiful to look it, it's heart and soul is the compressor which stopped operating after 3 months. This supposedly is the expiration of its warranty. Secondly it was a not very effective cooling unit unless you are trying to cool a closet. I cannot recommend this item. ... show more

This company's product saved my frying behind! Living in Florida, my A/C went down during the heat advisory of June 2025. I had one of these 8000 BTU units in my garage for a year using it when I had a project and the heat inside was sweltering. After my A/C died, I moved this unit to my bedroom and purchased a 10,000 btu unit for my living room for a one day delivery. This unit a tad bigger than it's 8,000 btu brother knocked it out of the park. Reasonably quiet and cool as a cucumber. I could not be more happy with this company. ... show more

Stopped Cooling in Less Than a Year on 2— No Response from Support

I purchased three of these units, and unfortunately two have already stopped working in less than a year. We followed all the recommended off-season storage instructions, so it was really disappointing when the first warm day here in North Carolina rolled around and one unit wouldn’t cool at all. 2nd unit has stopped working all together also.. The other is still working fine, but these 2 particular units are the main AC for a room over our garage, and other for a larger room so it’s been a major inconvenience. I did receive a refund and help from Amazon on one of the units for over the garage , which I appreciate, but I had no luck getting assistance on the other one. I also reached out to the manufacturer directly and never received a response after more than a week, which honestly added to the frustration. At this point, I’m left replacing a unit much sooner than expected and spending more money than I planned. I truly wanted to like these units, but based on my experience with both the product reliability and customer support, I unfortunately can’t recommend them. I can recommend customer service of Amazon though.. top notch :) ... show more
