I have installed two of these locks as replacements for the manual ones originally installed in our home. The install went as expected. Meaning not difficult to replace. I left the original plunger(? can’t think the right word right now) part in one of the doors as the replacement part was a different size than the original but that worked just fine. I have a remotely programmable electronic lock that I purchased previously for an AirBNB that has been amazing! That was a Schlage product that I chose because as it is an short term rental I need to change to key code for each guest. At home I didn’t need all that so I went with this and saved a lot of moula! The manual code programming for this lock took a minute or two and a few tries to get right but once I read closely enough it is pretty straight forward. I am very pleased with the feel and quality of this product. If you don’t need the remote programming feature or remote unlock, I don’t see spending more than this. It has the ability to add a one time use option to let a worker if needed. And you can put in up to 20 codes. I have put in very few as we don’t need much in our situation. For our needs this have been great and I really like that we no longer “hide” a key outside so our adult kids can get in when we are traveling to keep the plants alive. I also have an e-lock at another location that has the ability to enter with a finger touch. But again I didn’t really need that at our home either. So all these have fulfilled well the need for their location.

The lock is easy to install and comes with detailed instructions for installation. The keypad is easy to program, again with detail instructions. The auto-lock feature allows you to close the door and not worry about whether you remember to lock it. You can set the lock delay to lock in as little as 10 seconds or longer if you prefer. You can also manually lock the door with one touch of the keypad or with the knob on the inside of the door. I have installed two of the deadbolts in my house and would recommend them to anyone interested in additional security that is easy to install and use.

This lock set was very easy to install. The installation instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Finished installation in less than 20 minutes (I was replacing an old lock so the required door preparations were already made). Did experience a bit of a problem in setting-up the user code but that was apparently because the batteries I was using were low, I changed the batteries and everything went smooth after that. Only just installed it but so far would say it is a good buy and worth the money.

I have had this for a week on my door and it is very nice. It works well, is easy to install/program and it doesn't look tacky . Highly recommend buying this instead of a $300 keypad lock.

I received it sooner than expected. I had a friend come over install it. It took a little longer than anticipated and we did have to call customer support because the instructions were a little vague. But for the last week, it’s been working perfectly and it’s nice not to have to get my keys out to open the front door.

Installed on exterior door to the garage. It is a pretty decent, no frills keypad lock for around $30 dollars. The lock core is compatible to Schlage SC1 keys and easy to access, so it was a pretty easy and quick job to re-key to fit the existing door locks. Quality wise, the housing is stamped metal on the outside and mostly plastic for the internal unity. It is pretty light weight so it is uncertain how it would hold up to significant force, but for someone determined to break in it would likely be easier and quicker to break a window. There are keypads aailable for significantly more money that are better built so it is a trade-off. It was easy to install as the unit fit an existing Schlage deadbolt so the all that was needed was to remove the old lock and screw in the new parts. Programming was easy and the included instructions were easy to follow.
