The world is well into the change from USB to USB-C ports. Almost all new ports are the C type. But our old USB gear still works fine. This little adapter keeps them useful without having to buy new, sometimes expensive, electronics. My only problem with them is they are so small, I sometimes don't remember where I put them and have to hunt for them. Being small, they can be almost anywhere. They are larger but a little thinner than Anker ones. As I tested, the written speed is little better than the Anker one, but lower than the Apple one.
