I purchased this item because I only needed the spring. The OEM key fob spring was no longer “springy” and would not push out the key. Swapping the spring did require complete disassembly of this fob and the OEM one, it was however, very easy to do. The buttons all worked, screw holes lined up. No cutting or modifying for precise fitment. I did notice the key assembly is a tad loose but I don’t know, and can’t foresee, how that will affect long term function.

This key fob worked great. The original fob was worn out and would not unlock the door/s. I did a little research, found this product, and took a chance it would work. It was a little difficult changing the keys between fobs. The instructions for programming were spot on. Look through the reviews, and you will find instructions on programming the new fob. They work! Oh! Ignore anyone who says a dealer has to perform the programming. You can go to a dealer and pay them if you want to. It is probably a dealer telling you that you can't do it.

I have 2011 Acura MDX. Both of my original remote fob's stopped working. I only purchased one of these to test it out and it works. I just purchased second one. I swapped my old metal key with the blank key and programed the remote in less than 30 seconds. No fancy equipment needed. Saved hundreds $$$ by not going to greedy and dishonest dealerships. Programing fob is so simple, once you swapped your metal key into new remote all you have to do is put the key into ignition turn it to second position (II) and press unlock button once on the remote then turn the key back all the way to the off position. You immediately repeat same step--> so turn it back to position 2 (II) and press unlock again and again switch the key off . You need to this "four times" and on the 4th time my door unlocked when I pressed unlock button . Once you hear that your doors unlocked you just press the unlock button formthebsecon time and that's it. It's done. All the buttons work including rear lift gate and panic button. There are some helpfull videos online if you search for it. No fancy equipment needed, just a few turns of the key. So if you still have your old non working fob this one works and it's easy to get it working.
