This has got to be the highest quality nicest feeling aftermarket key I've ever held. Being mostly made of metal, its got a decent bit of weight to it, even the buttons! It seems these only work with the autel ecosystem, and can not be generated with xhorse or launch tooling. But inside is a great quality PCB and antenna array which seems to cover most any frequency you'd want to program to.

This key is a great replacement for my BMW. I thought the $600 charge quoted by the dealership was excessive so I took the key to a locksmith. I didn’t have the Autel MaxiIM KM100 programming tool. But if I planned to do another key, I would have probably just bought one myself. It seems pretty straightforward. I have the batteries on hand. It requires one of those too. The functionality is nearly the same as my original. Even the fit and feel in my hand. It’s the same to use. It just doesn’t have the panic button, which I never used anyway. The range is good. It’s listed as 130‘. I’m not super good at judging distances but that seems right to me.

These are nice fobs. They're universal so you can program them to many different vehicles. This one is shaped for a BMW but apparently you can set it to work with any push to start type vehicles. You do need to teach it the vehicle type and then have it programmed. You can also change the button configuration. Very universal!

I needed a new key for my BMW and I didn’t want to pay $600 for one, from the dealership, so I bought a blank one. This blank key has 3 buttons: lock, unlock, trunk, plus an uncut key blade. It does not have the 4th button, for emergency, though. It is waterproof and has a transmission of up to 130’. You do need a CR2032 battery, because it is not included. I didn’t have an Autel tool to program this, so I had to take it to a locksmith. Buying a blank key for a BMW, is the way to go, since it is way cheaper than the dealership.
