This is my first Keurig machine and while I only occasionally have coffee, I am obsessed with iced tea and refreshers! The over ice button works fantastically, the mix comes out at a lower temperature after being brewed and I was able to make a refresher INSTANTLY directly into a glass cup full of ice perfectly chilled! Unlike the strong or hot brew options, the over ice option seems to only dispense 6.6 oz of liquid as there is only one functional button for it. Testing with a thermometer, using the over-ice button: the water output resulted at around 145-150 degrees Fahrenheit. The default/strong brew water output was around 175-180 degrees Fahrenheit. There is no sophisticated display, but the top controls are simple one press buttons that light up as soon as the top is closed. The LEDs behind the button controls are a clear crisp white that is easily visible in dark or low light, and auto turn off once operation is complete or if the logo start button isn't pressed for some time. To my delight, any function will pour hot water even without a pod loaded in; and as a long time electric kettle haver, I like that I can use this K-Mini Mate plus instead to now brew traditional tea if wanted! I went with the black color because I am a mess and want to hide the inevitable spills and stains. The drip tray clicks in with ease and is super easy to remove and clean, being able to take apart into two pieces. The wide shape is great for accommodating short fat mugs and spacious enough for non traditional shapes. I am not sure what kind of plastic the clear water reservoir is made out if, but it is eye catchingly rainbowey, and shimmers magically in the light! While the overall size is great for fitting on the counter in our kitchen apartment, the bottom of the unit is flat with no rubber/cushion and is not drag friendly. I found for the price the construction of the reservoir top to be lacking, the lid is a loose fitting plastic that simply rests on the body. The rubber handle is nice but there is no latch or seal to keep the lid on at all. It is lightweight and does hold a generous 50 oz of water, as I was able to make 4 drinks back to back, but the max fill line is almost to the very edge and the machine will not dispense if the water level is too low. ... show more

I was wasting so much coffee making it in a 12 cup coffee maker and with the price of coffee these days who can afford to keep dumping money down the drain. I obtained a reusable filter as well that I can fill with coffee and put in this machine but I also do obtain the cups when I can grab them on sale. The 3 levels of 8, 10 and 12 accommodate many cup sizes but frankly the 8 hardly ever gets used and wish there would have been a 16 oz selection for the larger to-go cups. No big deal really because I just run the 8 oz 2 times with no issues. This machine makes a great tasting cup of coffee that is piping hot. It’s really easy to use and does not make near the noise that my 12 cup maker does. It looks great, easy to clean and keep clean - love the descaling feature because we do have hard water but I usually get my water for coffee from the frig dispenser which is filtered. This is a time saver in a busy morning - it produces coffee very quickly. My 12 cup maker easily takes 15 minutes to fully brew - Within a minute or so, this little guy delivers a piping hot delicious cup of coffee…. ... show more
