Bought this to get into the tuning side of cat modifications. The unit itself seems right. The issue is the software. Software does not install properly even when downgrading my laptop to work either with up pro, windows 98, or via VMware.

First, before you order this, go to the Kess website and confirm that it will work for your vehicle. I found out only after it was received that my vehicle wasn't supported. Second, the installation CD that is sent with the item is a copied DVD-R. They couldn't be bothered enough to even make a cover label for the burned software. Returned ASAP. ... show more

It works to read the files from one ecu and write them to another as for a tuning it requires different software don't expect any kind of support from the seller and its pretty impossible to get online support as the seller states in the add for the product because you cant be connected to the internet while the software or hardware are in use.
