Great stereo, touchscreen is nice. The DVD player takes movies but for some reason only plays when the car is in park and the brake pedal is pressed. It’s annoying. Also you have to push the button for the rear camera to work. It doesn’t come on automatically. It’s an extra step when in reverse and if you are in a situation where you have to back up in a hurry then it’s not ideal to push the button on the screen then put your car in reverse. ... show more

When you turn on the vehicle, put it in reverse, the backup camera engages for about 3 seconds - then you get 2 seconds of a black screen that says "Watch out behind you when you back up" or something to that effect. Then the backup camera turns on again. If you turn on your vehicle, wait 10 seconds, then back up, this doesn't occur. Regardless, it's annoying as hell and totally unsafe. Love the simplicity of the head unit. Was easy to install and has great sound quality. Paired with my iPhone and phone calls are clear and people say it sounds like I'm talking into the phone. The USB port connect is not Android friendly. You have to by the antenna separately. The sound quality is not as good as my factory radio in my challenger. I will not buy another Kenwood. Kenwood radios are not like they use to be.

great sound quality improvement over the stock unit. more useful features compared to the stock unit. don't rely on the scosche adaptor, doesn't fit, has to be cut and modified to work in the 2012.....

I used this with a PAC RP5-GM11 on a 2006 trailblazer with Bose and on Star. Great head unit. I like that you can turn the display off at night, pairs fast with my phone, CD's play great. This head unit requires 10 amps to turn on. If you use an aftermarket harness make sure your using a 10 amount wire and not the 3 amo they provide.
