So far this has been a great Stereo. It has great audio settings EQ and DSP adjustments. It has time alignment as well. Great for apple car play or android auto and it is very very shallow so it can fit almost anywhere. I actually 3d printed a custom housing and mounted this in my 1993 Jeep wrangler giving me a better angle to view the stereo and bringing it to a safer place to operate it without taking my eyes off the road. That said the hands free system works great in this as well and it has a great microphone that seems to cut the road noise out quite well. Money well spent in my book.

I ordered this with the Alpine KTA-450 Amp and what a difference it made! I tried the W670 by itself first without the amp and then connected the amp and it made a BIG difference in sound quality and detail. I installed it in a 2018 Nissan Titan with upgraded Infinity speakers and a Subwoofer I got at AutoZone. I replaced a Kenwood unit so I already had the Maestro RR module to retain the steering wheel controls, so I just had to add one connector to it (supplied with the Maestro) and re-flash it. (The SW1 wire attaches to the wire on the Maestro's Blue connector. No other SW wires connect, not even the SWG -ground). I had to call Maestro support to get it right. The Speaker Level, EQ settings, and Time Correction features on this unit take it over the top. They allow you to get the sound dialed in how you like it. The ILX-W670 has better sound quality than the Kenwood DMX-8709S which did not play well with the Maestro RR module. Apple CarPlay connected immediately once I connected it with the right cord. If you use the KTA-450 amp, watch some videos on how to install the amp and how to configure the Crossover/4-Channel/RCA settings and it's pretty straightforward. I had to cut the speaker wire connection on the Maestro harness (Idatalink Maestro Acc-HU-ALP1) for the W670 and connect the speaker wires from the amp to the wires going to the speakers. Well worth the money. Gives SERIOUS punch and clarity to my system.

I wanted a wired android auto stereo and this delivers. Bought a JBL one before this and the connectivity with wireless android auto is just terrible, always reconnecting. This addresses that beautifully. My only gripe is that in order to actually get to all of the settings, you need a separate parking switch wiring - in addition to the vehicle wiring, to trick it to tell it it's parked the whole time, because lets face it, not every vehicle has a parking brake signal and/or no one is gonna wire one in or reverse engineer their vehicle harness to do so. The harness is easily found on youtube; and basically it allows you to access all of the settings in the menu, which are disabled if you don't have that. I imagine that's made for people who need directions on shampoo, in order to not try to navigate the menus while going 80mph. So plan on spending that extra 15-20 bucks and best to have it when you install the thing, and not find out later.

Installed this in my wifes 2007 Hyundai santa fe fit perfectly in the dash. Looks great and makes the car interior feel/look more modern, also installed backup camera which works great, only "issue" i have with the backup camera is after switching from reverse back to park or drive the music stops from any source EXCEPT the radio and i have to press play again, not a big deal just a minor annoyance (maybe its a safety thing). Android auto and apple car play both work fine without any lag or issues for me. Only thing i wish the unit had was station/song information displaying (RDS) when listening to the radio, but at this price point i cant complain. This replaced an old single din alpine (cde-154bt) and the sound quality is improved compared to that unit. Tips: Make Sure you use a high quality usb cable to connect your phone to this unit. I tried a few random usb cables i had and some of them did not work for android auto. There is a firmware update for this unit which you download from alpines website and put it on a usb drive then plug it in to the usb on the unit to do the update. I would recommend doing this first thing when you get the radio working.

Installed the Alpine iLX W670 in my Mustang and it’s been a solid upgrade. CarPlay connects quickly and runs smooth with no lag switching between apps. Touchscreen is responsive and easy to navigate while driving. Sound quality is noticeably cleaner than stock, especially paired with aftermarket speakers. I also like that it supports FLAC files, which is a big plus if you keep higher quality audio on a USB drive. Overall it’s a clean, modern head unit that does exactly what it should.

Switched to this from my stock radio. Definitely worth the upgrade. Sound is so much cleaner, and this head unit has so many customizable options (like sub woofer volume control). The touch screen is on point! That was my complaint about many other head units. i was finally able to find one cheap, that fit my dash, and head quality sound and pinpoint accuracy for the touch screen. The brightness is perfect.

Terrible radio. Stay away! This is Alpines read headed step child! It uses different electronics than their other radios even in the same lineup. Get the 65 instead of the 67. This one is garbage.

I am enjoying this head unit. I am hearing frequencies that I never heard with my old JVC. It provides clarity and function, and you can customize your screen, too.
