  • Nice bike
Color: Gray/Green Size: 26 Inch
I bought this bike for my son for Christmas. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to pull the bike out of the box until late Christmas Eve. The bike isn't hard to finish putting together, but it does take a little time, which I didn't have. You have to put the front tire on, pedals, seat, and handlebars. Alot of those installations require allen wrenches, which I didn't have at the time. Make sure you have some if you buy this bike. Additionally, the front brakes are disc brakes, and you have to complete the installation of the front brake cable to the brake lever on the handlebars. This also takes a little time. None of this is hard, just know that you will need to do it when you get it. Overall, a well-built bike. ... show more

Color: Black/white Size: 19 inch/ One Size
Had this bike for about a week now and have been out riding everyday of that week. Firstly, this bike is not top of the range bike, its cheap for a reason. The overall standard of the parts is not the best but are functional and work just fine ( so fare), for the price i payed im not going to complain. So straight out the box it was simple to build, attach seat post and handle bars, attach pedals and front wheel. First impressions once built is that it looks very good and flashy, on mine however i quickly noticed that the stickers looked like some one had used there feet to put them on, the sticker edges looked flaky and with bubbles underneath the surface of the stickers which made a cheap bike look even cheaper, i was going to remove the stickers anyway so it just made it an easier job to get them off which took me about 2 minutes. I went on a 1 hour bike that night and the ride is very good however i did notice the suspension bottomed out a few times on the front forks when coming off high curbs, the seat ripped me a new one and the pedals are way to small. I took it through snow and ice, when that all melted i took it through muddy puddles, off road on the road up hills down hills and found that its been reliable and sturdy. I changed the tyres on mine because i could see the tread ripping off in places and the overall look i did not like. I also notice that in places i could not pinpoint while riding the bike is that it creek`ed, i believe it came from the blue rear suspension coil but did not affect the ride at all. I`m giving this bike a 5 star rating because just getting out the house and being active is priceless + you are getting a fully functional front and rear suspension bike. ... show more

  • False advertisement! Only front disc brake and wobbly wheels, poor quality
Color: Black/white Size: 19 inch/ One Size
there's another review earlier where I took a gamble on----FALSE ADVERTISEMENT language used by seller and Amazon has not taken actions! This bike does NOT have dual disk brakes although the description clearly stated "disk brakes front and back". True you may be able to see it in the one and only picture but which do you believe? the description or the picture. Well the bike came in okay package, although the backwheel seems wobbly which makes the v-brake much harder to tune. Mine is still not optimal. I didn't give this bike 0 or 1 star, because of the price is certainly not for premium bikes. But still expected a bit better. *****updated ****** Well I am reducing my rating stars since now I have found more quality issues----The inner tubes have both blown within 5 uses. Had it been just one I may just chalk it under bad luck, but with both incidents I had to examine the tubes a bit closer, revealing them of inferior quality. For those of you less handy with bikes, stay away! ... show more

  • A lot of bike for the money. True front/rear shocks
Color: Gray/Green Size: 26 Inch
Early review. Will update as the bike sees use. My biggest complaint is that the Kent bicycle I received was obviously returned. There were cut wire ties in the box, the English manual was missing and I had to download it, and there was some partial assembly that included stripped screws on the rear brake spring tensioners, chewed up areas at the pedal mounts where someone obviously didn't have the right tools, and paint scrapes at the handlebar mount. I debated returning it, but I forged ahead regardless and decided to keep it after I assembled, adjusted and tested it. Returning for a replacement was a wildcard since I might just get another returned unit. The assembly was a bit tedious, but I'd imagine most bikes in this category would be. There was a bit of work to get the brakes and brake cables properly adjusted. The front wheel is bent and wobbles. When I unboxed it and saw how the front tire is packaged on top of the frame, I felt there was a good chance it'd be bent. Shipping companies are brutal, and one drop on that side of the box would bend that rim. I'm thinking many of these bikes will have bent rims. Initial testing, even with the bent rim, was fine. The bike rode well, shifted fine and braked well, both front and back. The front and rear derailers need a little more tuning, but they work. I've read several reviewers stating their front brakes didn't work. The front brakes work, but attention needs to be paid to the brake pad distances from the brake's rotor, and most of the slack needs to be taken up at the caliper actuator such that a VERY short pull of the brake lever sees initial contact with the rotor. Additional pressure on the lever will tighten the caliper and stop the bike. The app Shimano 21-speed gearing is good. There's a lot of low end gearing for trail work. The suspension is really good. The front and rear dampening work well. Overall, for the $300 pricetag, is recommend this Kent mountain bike. I don't know how well it'll stand up to hard abuse off-road, but for most people who aren't hard core off-road cyclists, you might be fine. The fact that it's a Prime item was also enticing since, seeing all the trouble people have had in this product category, I knew there'd be a hassle-free return policy. ... show more
