  • Gotta do it. Gotta give it a 5.
Color: Orange
Not sure if it was a mistake or not, but I assembled and tuned it up myself. Let's just say getting this thing together taught me more than I'd ever like to know about a bike. I jacked up the frame from having to move the front derailleur about 20 times. And it's still not exactly right. But ultimately, I got this bike for 140 dollars (it was an open box item), which is absolutely insane. Good luck trying to find a better deal than even the 180 or whatever it is for a new one I've put hundreds of miles on it so far with no signs of any problem. Oh and the seat is god awful, I would buy a new one ASAP. Also the pedals don't allow for feet straps ... show more

  • You get what you paid for. TRASH
Color: Orange
I ordered this bike as I am wanting to start riding around for a bit of exercise, nothing crazy or to intense. I assembled the bike and on the handlebars it has a clear indication that it can't be positioned over a certain line. I made sure to follow instructions to a T on everything. After 5 or 6 rides around my neighborhood which at most has a very slight hill. After the 5 or 6th ride I heard a weird creaking/ scratching from the handlebar. After some investigation I found the whole handlebar was completely broken in half. You get what you pay for, this is made of either the most brittle material ever made for a bike, or a manufacturing flaw caused this. I wouldn't mind a manufacturing flaw, but of course they tried to sell me a new kit after only a month of having the bike. Don't buy it. spend the extra money for a decent bike. Even if you are a beginner like me. ... show more

  • Good beginner bike, awkward shift lever positioning.
Color: Orange
Coming from someone who has owned multiple mountain bikes since he was a kid, this bike is completely different. First off it take a lot of getting used to because your hands are even, if not below your seat. With this if you don't keep the correct posture I found my back start to get sore after awhile. After about a month of riding it however you do get used to the positioning and not even notice it. Just be ready to be sore for a little while! The one thing about this bike that I can not get used to is the shifting levers. For some reason the shift levers are attached to the center stem of your handle bars and at least 3-4 inches away from your hands when they are on top of the handle bars (and about 8 inches if you have your hands in the lower position). In order to shift gears you have to completely remove one hand from the bars to move the shift lever which for me is a circus act when getting to a sudden hill and trying to downshift while my legs are struggling to keep the bike moving. I will admit that it does get easier after riding for awhile and I know there are plenty of people with much better balance than me so don't think that you need to have the balance of an Olympic gymnast in order to ride this bike. Overall this is a nice bike and worth the money. It is a very light and sturdy bike and much easier to pedal than any mountain bike I have owned. The light weight allows much easier hills and control over the bike as well as easier storage and moving the bike around in the garage. If you want to get into this style of bike with a low budget I would recommend getting this bike. If you're a little more serious though and are going to ride this everyday to work then I would suggest spending the extra cash and upgrading. ... show more

  • Could Not Have Been Happier - NYC commuter
Color: Orange
I purchased this bike back in March to commute to work 17 miles a day round trip in NYC. In honesty, I bought this as a quick fix to taking the subway during the surge and peak of our Covid outbreak with the expectation that I would purchase a better bike after a few paychecks. However, this bike as surpassed my wildest expectations and has performed wonderfully. Durable and comfortable, I've ridden almost 1000 miles at this point with no degradation issues. Normal maintenance is required of course. The gear shifter is not as precise as advertised, but at the price point, can you really complain? I can't speak to other's experiences, but if I was faced with the same decision again, I would purchase this bike without question. ... show more

  • Budget Bike, Budget Parts
Color: Orange
The Radius brand brake calipers are kinda bad. It fails to stop the bike effectively. The seat it came with hurts my butt. There have been complaints about the wheel but the one I got is completely fine. I could easily get some entry level Shimano brakes for the front and rear for $45, and probably get a better seat for another $25, but that would be an extra $70. Might as well invest in a better quality road bike, some Giants go for <= $500, that will last you a longer time and will give you a better ride quality. Same goes with anything you purchase that you plan on using for a while. ... show more

  • Meh
Color: Orange
This bike ain't the best out there. It's definitely a budget bike. As far as looks go this thing is a looker but actually using it is a different story. If you're mechanically inclined getting this thing together isn't rocket science. But adjusting the poorly constructed brakes takes some time. After the better half of a day adjusting the brakes to get more stopping power I finally came to the conclusion the brake pads this bike came with are garbage 1/10 no bueno. They're made from this soft rubber material similar to the consistency of a pencil eraser that has poor bite on the rim of the bike. Riding it is pleasant. I was able to get some speed relatively easily Bike maintainss it's momentum as it rides. Shifting through the gears isn't the best. Not really a fan of the lever type shifters but it gets the job done. Quality feels ok, and as far as durability it's not good. After the first ride the bike fell apart and became unusable, via an issue with the rear wheel hub. Overall for the price they're asking if say it's not worth it. Had to wait a month for the bike to get here due to a lack of inventory. Definitely not worth the wait. Super disappointed. I am glad Amazon is making it right with a full refund but still can't help being bummed out after having waited so long for it. ... show more
