I decided on a bagged as I don’t like all the dirt and dust flying when you dump a bag less, because of my breathing problems. I also like the power pet mate, able to get all the pet hair from the chairs, etc. The cord wrap is handy when you’re done. The pop and go feature, doesn’t really pop and go. I have to take out the bare floor attachment and manually add the attachment. I like the fact that the attachments are easy to get to, being stored on top of the vacuum. The lids however are a little flimsy. You have to be extra careful as not to use a lot of strength when opening or closing the lids. The bag used for this is quite large, but only only half can fill because the compartment is to small for the bag. I like the fact that you can control the suction power, for different tasks. Overall, this vacuum has plenty of power and a good choice if you have pets. ... show more

I like how much lighter than my old Kenmore vacuum this is, which we bought to replace the one that finally died after 15 years. I wish the handle to drag it around was on the top rather than the bottom of the canister, it would be more convenient, since I try not to drag it by the hose. It works really well on my old worn carpet and somewhat refreshes the look as it fluffs it up a bit. It is annoying to have to drag it around, but the handheld section with the rotating brush glides really nicely across the floor as you push it easily. That part doesn't work so well on bare floors or linoleum, so it's necessary to switch out to the bare floor attachment to get it to work properly, and it's pretty impossible to use on carpeted stairs, so I still need a separate stick vacuum for those. I have always loved these vacuums, this is my 3rd one of this brand and style. My first lasted 10+ years, the second lasted about 4 and the wand broke in half 🤷♀️🤦♀️ after that I decided to try a shark, it was good at first but lost suction after some use and is now my garage vacuum. I decided to go with Kenmore again and I do live the vacuum, it's definitely a lot better than the shark but I feel like they've gotten cheaper when making them. The carpet floor head doesn't connect correctly and will randomly slide off while I'm vacuuming, super annoying! One of the features I loved about my last one was the ability to adjust how strong the suction is, this model has that option but again, not as good as it used to be, it's a simple full suction or not, while the last one I could adjust until it didn't suck up my throw rugs in my kitchen, this one sucks it up no matter what. Lastly, the hard floor head attachment, is a lot smaller than they used to be so it gets clogged easily with like small pieces of paper or whatever my kids leave on the floor. Overall I am happy with my purchase, especially since I got it at a great price on prime day. It does do an awesome job with dog hair, we have 3 dogs, one long haired Aussie and 2 labs, much better than the shark was with it! ... show more

    • Monster Vacuum Sucks so Good

I was expecting a smaller vacuum, and yet this thing shows up and it's huge! However! It's not very heavy. I don't have trouble hauling it up and down the stairs, but it really was much more substantial than I'd pictured. In addition, the size of the hose/connections is larger than the standard, I think, and since it has an odd little bit for the electrical passthrough it doesn't play well with generic add ons. I got an adapter kit that had something that worked for me. Check for product dimensions, otherwise ask me a question and I'll measure mine. Does it work? Oh yes. I have two dogs and a husband that abhors vacuuming. His space was covered with fur. This did a *super* job getting rid of the fur (and of course dirt etc). The attachments work like attachments should and store nicely. I can't help but feel the bag style is a waste of materials, as you basically fold the bag in half and attach it, so it only gets halfway full before the bag indicator lights up and you have to swap. Works on hardwood and tall thick carpet with equal ease. It has variable suction so you can get deep down carpet clean or just enough to dust a shelf. Maneuverability? Well, let's just say you're not going to take this out on the town as a dance partner. It's clunky, and while there's *some* maneuverability in the main attachment, there's not much. I find myself picking up and repositioning if I have to go around things, rather than vroom around it like a sports car. All in all, I'm keeping it. ... show more

I’ve always had Kenmore appliances, including vacuum cleaner for years. This time I ordered one from Amazon and it seemed to have had a issue where it was stopping while vacuuming at intermittent intervals. I tried calling Kenmore direct and they were going to replace a part they thought it was, however, they had no idea when the part would be in. It would be manufactured in another country. Amazon was cordial enough to send me a replacement for the old one, and this one works perfectly! I didn't want a vacuum that had no bags. No dust cloud for me!! So, I decided to go back to my tried and trusted brand Kenmore. And every Kenmore I've ever owned has been awesome this vacuum is no exception. I love it. No complaints. A bit heavy and cumbersome but that doesn't stop me from using it on the spot! It's easy to use and it gets the job done and the suction is fantastic. It comes with all the bells and whistles, and I honestly can't find a thing wrong with it. I love it. Solved all my problems. Lots of downgrades from the older version. We've had it a couple months and both the storage compartment covers have broken with just normal use. One snapped off and the floor brush holder won't stay latched. The floor peice is a lot smaller than the old version, which makes it take a bit longer to vacuum the hard floors. The carpet peice has some sort of feature to protect the motor (i assume) that shuts it off when it's suction is too much. It shuts off on the medium setting on my low pile carpet but if I use it on low the brush doesn't spin so it misses a lot of dirt. Nothing is made with great quality anymore. Overall its still better than most vacuums. I just wish I could buy the old version again. ... show more
