The installation was easy, especially with the included 1.65-meter power cord kit, and it runs quietly but powerfully. I bought this exhaust fan a while back and just got around to installing it. I have been using those 20" box fans to attempt moving air from one half of the house that has an air blower on the roof to the other side that has nothing. While they were convenient and sat nicely in the window, they just didn't work. The thing with the box fans is that when they are off, hot air can come back in the house so you have to go through the effort of removing the fan, closing the window, and putting the curtain back up. All of that has changed. Using some scrap 2x4's and 2x8's, I made a window box, and with a short run of backer rod, I have a loosely sealed window fan with louvered closing panels, and you can tell this by the dark image where very little light is coming through. This fan pulls so much air, I can leave the main cooler off and it will still cool down the house, it just takes longer. I highly recommend one of those wireless outlet switches as the fan can be turned on/off from the doorway and I don't even have to enter the room. A bonus because that room is really cluttered! The other good thing is I still have a screen on the window to help keep critters and insects out when the fan is off because the louvers don't close all the way. That is the only reason this fan didn't get top marks. And for anyone who will say it's too loud, it's an exhaust fan. You typically won't be sitting in the same room that it's running in. It makes less noise than a swamp cooler, and in conjunction with one, it will probably lower cooling costs as it pulls the hot air out of the area. And I went with a window box so I didn't have to cut a huge hole in a log wall.

A great fan to help cool my high-ceiling garage with a mezzanine that gets hotter than hades in the summer. Solid, heavy construction and really easy to install. I’ve got double-hung windows on both ends of the garage near the peak and I cut a piece of plywood with a 14” square hole to replace the lower sash and mounted the fan on the plywood. I opened the window on the other side about 1/4 of the way to allow cross ventilation. I installed an inexpensive thermostat on the mezzanine side at the same height as the fan so I could adjust the temperature without climbing a ladder. The 14” fan is quiet and moves a lot of air.

Installed in ceiling of my shop to draw in cool air during the night. Helps reduce the need for air conditioning during the day. Have it on a timer. Also will be useful in exhausting fumes, etc from projects. So far it is working great and is pretty quiet. Don’t forget to open window or door or fan will Starve for air and Louvers won’t fully open.

The fan works well, was difficult to install in my sheet metal building because I had to make a metal frame to bolt it solidly. It is quiet. There is no thermostat to turn it on/off automatically, so I added one separately. I am pleased with it.

This exhaust fan is great. The frame is a pretty good and sturdy. The shutters are thin, but thats ok. This baby moves some air! Have it connected to a greenhouse thermostat with a built in rheostat. Have only had it for 4 days, but so far,Im proud of it. Was an easy install, and the price was far less than comperable size exhaust fans.

Just installed it in my attic. Fan fits perfectly my window. I am quite concerned that this fan will not last very long as the motor gets very hot. It is a good idea to purchase a warranty if it is offered for this fan.
