  • Solid option!!
Size: 11.5 Color: Cascade Brown/Brindle
I love KEEN work books. I have had a couple different pairs. They fit great and I have never had to break them in. Plus I worked a ton on different ground (gravel, steel and concrete) super comfortable and always lasted longer than other brands I tried.

  • Update—Keen came through!!!!—-falling apart!!!!!!!Comfortable out of box!
Size: 10 Color: Cascade Brown/Brindle
Update September 2, 2025 Keen responded after sending pictures and receipt of shoes bought. If covered by warranty they would give money. They accepted the warranty claim and gave us money for a new pair. We are trying to glue this pair to see if a glue would work because I really like the boot and want to purchase another pair of the same. But if they do the same thing I want to be able to fix them. But hats off to Keen for living up to the warranty and expectations! June 1, 2025 ————sole of the boot is separating Lighter weight than regular keens. Fit great! Didn’t take too long to break in! Comfortable just like the hiking boots! Definitely will get again! Hopefully they will last! Seem to be made well! I will update you! I put arches in them because I have plantar fasciitis. Style is nice, but they are work boots! Haven’t slipped with them! ... show more

  • At 220 dollars they were good. They are selling them for 450 now so I can’t buy another pair.
These boots were comfortable in rough lumber delivery conditions but they are soft and wore out quickly which is usually the sacrifice for perfect comfort.

  • Doesn't last
Size: 11 Color: Cascade Brown/Brindle
Ordered on July 22 of this year and was very happy at first. Great fit, very comfortable, was water proof, and looked high quality. Around September I was working in Ashfork AZ when the water proof feature decided to stop working. Wet cold feet in 56-60 degree weather in the morning. Then I noticed the sole was coming apart and I was getting rocks and dirt between the sole and boot. First the right boot and now the left boot. They are priced to high for a boot that doesn't last a year! My $60 Walmart boots lasted a year and a half and would have kept them but I lasted a new job in construction and wanted a high quality boot. These, sadly, are not that. The only thing I loved about the boots was the comfort. Will not buy again. ... show more

  • Best Ever!
UPDATE: It's now been one year. I wear these boots into my forest a couple of times per week, clearing trails, crossing mucky lowlands, walking through brooks, chainsawing, putting up posted signs, and chopping heavy fallen limbs and small trees. Each trip I walk up to two miles. They still feel excellent. My feet never get wet, and my ankles are well supported as I get snagged in branches and brush and walk up and down (and laterally) over very steep ravines. I've yet to detect the steel toe - these boots are comfortable. And no sign of wearing out. If I needed to , I'd buy these boots again in a heartbeat. ::: I’m a medium-level steel-toe boot user; nothing hardcore. Over the decades I’ve owned Red Wings, Chippewa, and other brands of steel-toe boots. I’ve never owned a pair of steel-toes where I didn’t sense the steel … until THIS boot. I own a pair of 6” Keen hiking boots (soft-toe). They are THE most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. When I saw this Keen, 8”, steel-toe I was intrigued. I want them for chainsawing and other risky activities. So, I took a chance, ordered the same size and width as my 6-inchers (11EE), and … YES! Usually I wear new shoes in the house for a few days, on the carpet, to see if they feel good and fit well. I wore these boots for 15 minutes and went right outside. I was THAT sure about them. These Keens are lightweight, comfortable, and seemingly well made. Some serious wearers say they wear out relatively quickly. As a medium user, I don’t expect to experience that. Time will tell. The 6-inchers required zero break-in time. These 8-inchers go further up the leg, have a longer tongue, etc. So, they needed about 2 hours of yard activity to break in. And, the break-in was minimal; nothing major. As you can tell, I love them. But, would I recommend them to a friend? Well … I’ve sent each of my sons my hearty recommendation AND the link to Amazon so they can order them. So, I absolutely DO and HAVE recommend(ed) these boots. Good luck with your decision. ... show more

  • USA Made Steel Toe High Ankle Great Support Comfortable Wide Natural Foot Shape NO POINTED TOE
I love the foot-bed of these shoes. I love that they are manufactured in the United States of America. The natural semi-square toe does NOT pinch your toes together. This makes for a longer life to the shoe, and a more natural shape for your foot. These are very comfortable as a result of this shape. They do have a steel toe, they are water proof as new, and water resistant after long use. You can repair the sole, and rubber parts on the sides with "Goop" glue, when they wear and split, and it holds up very well, extending the usable life of these boots and making them a better value. They have a very thick padded ankle, tongue, and high ankle. The catches, (Lugs), for the upper are solid brass, and very sturdy. The lugs are tight and do wear on the shoe laces, causing shorter life for your laces, but you can always find nice para-cord laces to replace them, and the para-cord laces will out last the boots. I buy 2 pair at a time in order to allow them to dry completely between wearings, and this has made, (along with the use of the "Goop"), the last two pair I purchased last almost 3 years of daily wear. Highly recommended. I will continue to purchase and use these until I find something better.... Which I simply have not been able to locate. ... show more

  • Worn out in a year. Expensive
Boots are very comfortable and wear well. My complaint is that they barely lasted a year. The soles are nearly slick and they are falling apart. Wouldn't be that big of a deal if they weren't so expensive. Time to find another brand and give them a whirl
