I wore the boots in my house for two days here and there “break them In” but it really wasn’t necessary. My feet weren’t destroyed and blistered after a long 8 hour shift. I’m an arborist climb trees for a livingI climb trees, so I am very active when it comes to wear and tear on boots. They are comfortable, durable, lightweight with great stitching & the heel is perfect height. Overall great boots. The only concern I have with this boot is that the sole stitching stops mid point on the boot. Which worries me about sticking the heel in tree crotches on a daily basis. The leather used on this boots is very similar to the one used in the Durango harness/biker boots... Very good quality, they are super comfortable even after standing on you're feet all day at work and the none steel toe version is a plus on the boots being comfortable. NEGATIVES :These boots are definitely not meant to be used with shovels at all, the arch part of the boot will bent inwards pressing against you're arch and you have to push that dent back down by hand. I bought the none water resistant ones if water splashes by the toung area of the boots water will get inside... I don't know if the water resistant ones are different in that area, the leather of the boots definitely provides some water resistance. This pictures are after 2 months of using this boots at work from 8 to 10 hours Monday through Friday. EDIT: the new pair of boots I order do feel the same as the pair i bought 18 months ago, the only thing I don't like very much from the new pair is that the heels are not black like the old ones... So far I enjoy the boot but definitely needs better insole inserts. I work 10 hour days standing and walking in a mill, they hold up well but after 5 hours my feet are killing me. Definitely need a better sole insert. They feel a little loose on my feet for the size. Other than my issues, I like these boots, so far they seem well built for the price and hopefully hold up a long time. ... show more

This boot appears to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Been in boots too long to not know junk. Now for the city folks that want the look and not the functionality, these would probably work, but for those of us that actually require boots to perform, these are better left to those fashion wannabes. No arch support. Not work boots for those that require being on their feet for over two hours. Too narrow in the toe area for 2e sizes and too wide in the heal area because of not having extra leather built in for ankle support. Thanks, but no thanks. Rather be bare foot than wearing these. Even tried added arch support and it didn’t help. ... show more

I tried a pair of Georgia 10m boots on at a store and they were roomy and so I ordered the AdTec's in 10M and they fit the same IMHO. I love these boots they work well and seem to be made well. I started climbing trees and after 10 minutes with my shoes in a steep crotch my foot was killing me, but with the boots on I feel no pain. The leather feels a little thin and is very pliable which I'm sure accounts for the fact that they didn't need breaking in from the start. I've spent the day in them with no blisters and thats with no inserts. I got a pair of Scholls gel work inserts and to be honest the inserts from the factory felt just as good to me. The Scholls inserts may be slightly more comfy. I'll try to add after 6 mo.s and we'll see if they hold up, but I'm retired and wearing these at work everyday is not happening. The lace hooks going down to the bend are GREAT as its MUCH EASIER to get the boots on without loosening the laces thru ALL THE EYELETS you normally get. I am rather shocked at so many people who apparently toss their $100 to $300 boots after 6 monthes instead of re-soleing them ( my son-in-law with $300 red wings) ... show more

For context, I am a landscaper. Boots seem alright. Been using for almost a month now. Definitely painful to break in. But after that, they feel pretty good. Highly recommend new insoles. Not exactly critical to the performance of the boot but two of the hook eyelets have already fallen out within just a few weeks of use. Slightly disappointing. Leather and stitching it holding up fine so far. Decent boot for $80. ... show more

    • Great Boot At Reasonable Price

Great boot at a reasonable price. Some of the hardware (screws) that hold the sole/ heel in place needed to be given a couple more turns so that the head of the screw would be deeper in the rubber sole on the heel and not scuff up the wood floors. Not a big deal IMO. And I like the idea of heel and sole that are replaceable rather than glued / welded together so that they can be replaced when needed to extend the life of the boot. I haven't tried any repairs yet, and I'm assuming the presence of screws will be an advantage verses glued / welded. We'll see. Giving the screws a couple extra turns did NOT result in sharp screw points penetrating into my foot, which would not be so good. After wearing these for awhile, I even bought a second pair. ... show more
