When I think back to all of the times I used a power tool {Saw or Sander) that had the vacuum hose attached but did not turn on the vacuum because I either forgot or was in too much of a hurry it really bums me out. Had I known how convenient and efficient this switch is I would have done it years ago. I am going to purchase my second one to have at my second work station with my miter saw tonight. They handle the electrical load very well. And the Delay On/Off feature is great for eliminating startup over current draw in startup and voiding the exhaust hose of any sawdust before turning off.

This gadget does what it says on the can. Plug it in, plug your shop vac into the Accessory side, your sawbench (planer, whatever) into the other side, set the switch according to the labels, and when you turn on the tool, it also turns on the vac. You're got an option to just turn on the vac too, to catch those escapee chips, or turn the whole thing off. When you turn off the tool, the vac runs for a moment longer to catch the last chips or dust. Brilliant! Love it.

Took it out of the box, and it functions flawlessly. There's a slight delay, but very brief, when powering the vacuum on after starting my saw. Conversely, it has a slightly longer delay after the saw shuts off before the vacuum powers down. It's exactly what I was looking for.

I am working in a residential neighborhood where using my table saw and chop saw requires using a shop vac to reduce sawdust flying around. Using this device makes this job soo much easier. Turns the vacuum on just after saw comes up to speed, and keeps the vacuum off for a few seconds after turning saw off. It even has the ability to switch vacuum to stay on continuously while making multiple cuts when needed. I have not tried to set up to both my table saw and chop saw at the same time yet, but plan to do so. Bottom line, I wish I would have bought this sooner...

This is a great product for a shop vac/ dust collection system. It instantly turns on when power starts on any tool plugged in and stops about ten seconds after your tool shuts off. Way better than having to use a remote for your vacuum or worse, manually turning it on and leaving it on.

Works as it should. Good to have the slightly delayed sawdust suction going into my shop vac instead of everywhere else. The one second delay +- is, I guess to not put too much surge on the circuit at one time.
