Exactly what I wanted! Had my other Thorogoods for about 1.5 years. I didn’t take care of them, my dogs chewed them, and they got pretty beat up from work, so it was time to get new! These are my 2nd pair ever. I moved and couldn’t find a store around here that had my size (8) in stock, so I ordered them here. These were so comfy right out of the box!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is my third set a boots from this company. And I will only buy from them. As a skid steer operator, I have to manually swap out my buckets , kick the pins and then stomp on the pins as well. They are phenomenal boots . Great for hard working feet. Soft cushion insoles. Breaking period is about three days. Be patient because these boots will outlast all your boots. American made. ... show more

I waited to write a review on my pair to see how the boots would feel and hold up after some wear and tear, I had bought them about 4 months ago as of writing this review. My work isn't the most physically demanding nor am I working out in the elements but I primarily service and work on various drink machines so I tend to deal with alot of syrup and water. The boots are not water proof but if they are properly conditioned the should not get sopping wet in a light rain or wet enviroment. The tongue of the boot is tumbled to increase comfort and reduce break in which took me about a week where was no discomfort. The leather is full grain though something i noted was the first day of use where the leather is puckered for the moc toe stitch tends to shave off when crouching. This also occurred to one of the tips of my boot which was a bit disappointing to see but I chalked it up to the boots not being conditioned enough. Overall for my line of work the boots are comfortable enough out of the box that I could wear it all day without having to switch to another pair of boots and if you are working on hard flooring like concrete the wedge sole and the insole give you enough cushioning that you won't have an issue with walking on hard ground all day. I haven't had any issues with walking on wet tiles or concrete. The safety toe did not give me any issues and there is more then enough space between the top of the steel toe and my feet to prevent toe rub. The most uncomfortable place to break in for me was the heel but that went away within the week of first wear. I wear a 10D or 10 reg in all my boots and the same in my thorogoods. To be specific the circumference of the ball of my foot is 10" and the length from the back of my heel to the longest toe is 11". My advice is to make sure that once you try your boots on and they fit well condition them to make the break in even easier and the protect the leather since you don't know how long they have sat in a warehouse. I would also suggest getting a better pair of laces with your boots because mine were flimsy and I immediately changed them out with some paracord. ... show more

These boots are awesome. Good style, awesome durability. They are inherently NOT waterproof, or resistant...if its wet out...your feet will get wet.

Thorp good boots are great; high quality made in America boots. They have a tendency to run significantly more narrow that other work boots; I ordered these in a wide and they fit well (I do not typically wear a wide shoe). Also, I always hear to size down half a size in work boots; I ordered true to size and in a wide, they fit comfortably. Probably could go a bit more snug, but a size down was too small, and in the winter with thicker socks I’ll be glad to have the extra space. ... show more
