I've had these boots now for a little over a year. They've been through 1 midwest winter, and they've came with me to 3 different jobs. I always bought cheap $80 Walmart boots and then one day I decided it was high time I actually invest in a nice pair of boots that would last me more than a year. They have a VERY long break in period. If I recall correctly, it took like 3 weeks of everyday use before the soles started to soften up and the sides became less rigid. Overall though, very good boots. Now to the guy who complained about his not even lasting a year because he works in some industry with lots of water; yeah these boots aren't fully water proof. You gotta get some water proofing stuff with the boots if you want them last. Mink oil works the best. I don't think they would have made it through last winter had I not went out and got some mink oil and gave them a bath in it. ... show more

There are some issues with these but for the most part they are really nice and feel good not nasty smells or overly sweaty. Speed lacing is really nice compared to tying ever time. They take a bit to really break them in but they will feel better with some time. I am size 10 and they fit pretty well but I had to use moleskin tape but that didn't save my heel for long and so I switched to using 2 socks one merino wool and one medium/heavy weight cotton sock after which makes it a tighter fit but completely saved my heel from being obliterated. I really like these boots and once they eventually disintegrate I will either try some other ones or just get another pair since I know they are working for me. ... show more

Exactly what I wanted! Had my other Thorogoods for about 1.5 years. I didn’t take care of them, my dogs chewed them, and they got pretty beat up from work, so it was time to get new! These are my 2nd pair ever. I moved and couldn’t find a store around here that had my size (8) in stock, so I ordered them here. These were so comfy right out of the box!! (My first pair weren’t like that lol.) They fit great, great quality (of course, they are. They’re Thorogoods!), and they look great. 10/10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is my third set a boots from this company. And I will only buy from them. As a skid steer operator, I have to manually swap out my buckets , kick the pins and then stomp on the pins as well. They are phenomenal boots . Great for hard working feet. Soft cushion insoles.
