This bench came safely packaged. The wood seems to be very smooth so we won't get splinters. It was very easy to assemble. The entire bench seat was pre assembled for me! My only concern is that two of the legs have very long checks, entire length of leg where cross piece goes in. I understand this is normal with log furniture but I wonder if it will be as stong as it is advertised to be, and will it hold up in the weather? I plan to stain it so it will be better protected. Overall a very nice looking and comfy bench.

I love this bench!!! It’s easy as pie to assemble. Don’t forget, assemble first, screw later. The seat has been sanded very smooth. I’m not sure if there is a clear coat on it or not. Hmmm, think I’ll check. Regardless the seat and all the pieces are nice and smooth. They fit together perfectly. This bench is what I wanted for the spot it’s in, in the garden where I use old tree stumps for planting and a woodsy feel. The price is very fair. An all around happy purchase.

The media could not be loaded. The item gets four stars because it looks really nice and is wood. It gives my yard a nice natural look as I live in the city and legit have ZERO grass or trees on my block. The product lost a star because assembly was quite difficult. The directions are easy to follow and made sense. The difficulties were in getting the pegs to fully go into their sockets. I’m going to have to disassemble it, get wood glue and a rubber hammer and hammer those bad boys in! All in all, it’s a cute bench and I could see myself buying another one.

I bought 2 of these one had issues and was starting to chip...i complained about it and they are issuing me a refund . While it is not ideal they atleast tend to respond to customer complaints.

This Adirondack style bench is wonderful. The top panel (or seat) comes pre-assembled in two sections. Those are very well made, with a very nice look and finish. All the joints are smooth and it's nice and solid. The rest of it is those small 'log' sections that are the legs and braces. Now, it doesn't tell you this in the instructions. But, after you assemble the seat sections, you need to dry fit (no screws, yet) all of the leg sections to the seat BEFORE you start screwing it together. (Assembly must be done with a screw gun or power drill with a screwdriver bit.) Dry fitting the entire assembly will allow you to make sure you have all the sections facing the right direction as you assemble it. Make sure that all the pre-drilled screw holes are facing up (towards you with the bench upside down). The three H shaped leg sections will need to be assembled first. With them still dry fitted to the seat section, drive in the screws that are easily accessed. (Do NOT attach them to the long braces or the seat yet). Now, remove the H assembly and turn it so you can reach the other screw holes and finish that part of the assembly. After you have assembled all three of the H shaped leg components, fit all of them back to the seat, trapping the long braces between them. Now, you can fasten the long braces to the H sections and fasten the H sections to the seat. Total assembly time is less than 30 minutes, using their diagrams and these instructions. Now, it's ready for staining or sealing. I'm going to use the same Redwood stain that I use on my privacy fence. But, you can also use just a clear sealer. DO NOT use polyurethane or lacquer. This bench is made out of Fir or similar wood. It could be vulnerable to deterioration by moisture. And, unless you coated each part with poly or lacquer BEFORE you assembled it, you won't be able to get every square inch of it's surface. So, using poly or lacquer will only trap moisture inside the wood and set it up for rot. The best product to seal it with is going to be something like Thompson's Weather Seal (with or without tint). It's oil based, but still breathes, repelling water while allowing moisture to escape. Good purchase. Five stars.

We purchased 2 of these benches for our schools garden and both benches had multiple severe cracks.we unfortunately didn’t have time to return as they were for our students in our garden. We had to purchase wood filler to fill the cracks, sand paper to sand down the filler and sealer. I would not recommend. Our only option was to return the whole bench or “make d
