  • Worth it in the end
First off, love it! Good Grief, an absolute nightmare to put together directions are terrible I will be honest, no verbiage just pictures that are difficult to make out. I did have missing marrying brackets but was able to get a couple from a hardware store. Bracket with double screws shown in picture. Double check everything prior to assembling It was nerve wrecking putting together worst thing I’ve ever built and I’m the handy lady that puts together the very thing in our house. Smokey , flat top grills and gas grills … this was crazy! Took two days my hands couldn’t take it. With all that being said, worth it! Came out great and love it. Puppy approved too! Customer service was great too and patient with me when I was ranking lol FYI, it’s four boxes and they ship separately took about a week to get them all. ... show more

  • Very sturdy yet cheap soft metal screws.
Patience, patience, patience! The final product put together is quite good, putting it together is not. This comes in 3 large boxes and packaging is adequate. There is a product contents page in each box that has a picture of the contents. THERE ARE NO DIRECTIONS, as other reviewers have stated. If you are not mechanically inclined or able to look at an assortment of parts and put it together, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I would say not even pay for assembly unless you know the person(s) will take care when assembling. I have attached pictures for those willing to do this yourself. Do not use power tools for the screw head, the screws do not go in easily and will strip the fitting. Get out your good set of metric Allen wrenches, ratchet set, box wrench and 8"-12" squeeze clamp. The set that comes with the unit do not even fit the screw head properly. You will need a size 10 deep socket, small handle. Also size 10 box wrench. The power driver would be so helpful if the metal was not so soft. Even the Allen wrench will strip the head when tightening, but it is at the last turn and it's finally together! Do NOT tighten the screws until all pieces on the section you are working on is in place, then go back and tighten all screws but a little on each one until fully tight. The welded in nut may not be in squarely and make it harder to tighten a screw. Additionally, some nuts may need a screw tightened in first without the part you are attaching so you can fix the threads. If you force it you may strip the screw threads or head, that's when you go get your Dremmel with the metal cut off wheel and express you frustration on your walk to get it and then compose yourself on the way back. You should also have at least 1 helper, 2 would be really helpful for the back half section. If you do not have a work bench then save the large square box for a work platform and get a chair. Have your computer or tablet open to the product page so you can see the final images. I put a washer to every screw head. The main screws that attach most pieces together are the top line of 40 screws (M6 X 35). I suggest working on the outer quarters first, then the center circle and finally the back half. The learning on the first 3 prepares you for the final piece. I started with a quarter section. There are 4 longer curve pieces, you will need 2. Assemble the large back curve, short end to short end. There are holes without welded nuts in the middle of the short ends, use 1 M6 x 50 screw, 2 washers, 1 nut. Do not fully tighten. Place to side and place the seat bottom underside up. Get small curve with brown side on inside of the concave curve, there are 4 of these. The other 3 small curves have the brown on the outer convex curve and is for the center table. Take the curve and 1 M6 X 35 screw with washer and loosely set in place. The screw goes through the hole that does not have the nut welded in, passing easily through to attach to the seat bottom, see pictures. Find the side panels with 1 right angle square end and 1 diagonal end, these come in right and left configurations. The diagonal end goes to the large back curve side of the seat bottom, see pictures. All screws needed are the M6 x 35's with washer at head. Start loosely fitting screws, then follow by fully tightening all screws, patience. Repeat for 2nd quarter section. Round table unit. Start with 3 sides. 3 sets of M6 x 50 screws, washers(2 per) and nuts. Connect sides at middle , nearly tight. Get round top and 3 sets of M6 x 20 screws, 2 per washers, nuts and box end wrench. Underside up, line up tabs, place screws through lined up holes in tabs. Place nut in box wrench, hold nut in place with finger and put washer on nut and line up under tab, manually start then use Allen wrench. Loosely tighten, do same to other 2, then tighten all screws. Done. Now the fun part, have helpers ready. Separate pieces into right and left sides. There are 4 tall back pieces, tallest pieces are the center back. The 2 with what look like handles are the outer pieces. Pick a side to start and get the M6 x 35 screws and washers, I think 5 of them. I started with the small concave arc, loosely fitted onto the seat bottom. Then find the correct side panel, the diagonal side will be against the back panel with the handle and goes nearest the handle side. Look at pictures at this point. This is where you start to use the brackets, bag of oval pieces/tabs with 2 holes. Bracket, 2 M6 X 20 screws and 2 washers (1 per). You are going to attach the seat panel with the front arc and side panel (already attached) to the outer back panel. The back panel fits only half the large arc of seat panel. Next is the correct side taller back panel, these have 2 tabs welded on, no holes. I attached the 2 back panels first using an M6 x 50 screw, 2 washers and nut halfway between welded tab and bottom of back panel. Now have helper lift outer side pane side so the seat bottom touches the tall back panel. Make sure seat bottom is on the top side of the welded tab, then attach seat bottom to back panel with another bracket set. Now repeat all that with the other side pieces that are left. Go look at the pictures again at the underside of the 2 back halves. Get your brackets, M6 x 20 screws and washers ready. Now the 2nd helper needs to be awakened form their nap. Have each helper raise their ends up so the seat panel middles touch. Start using the brackets to connect the 2 halves together loosely fitting the screws. Take a break after all brackets are loosely fitted. After break flip section down onto true bottom. There are more brackets to attach to the true back. Have helpers push/pull the back pieces into a smooth arc alignment and fully tighten the bracket screws. Flip piece onto it's back again exposing the bottom. Start tightening all screws but keep checking on alignment of pieces. I found on final tightening the Allen wrench strips the screw head on most screws, but hey it's finally together. Again be sure the seat bottom is aligned on top of the welded bracket. Sorry but you are not done yet if you are using he canopy. Grab the poles, 6 arcs are the same, 2 are different with a tab welded on. Save yourself the headache and remove the plastic tips, place in bracket bag and hold to side for later. Fit a center connector together with 2 arcs, use the longest center with the arcs that have the welded tabs. The other centers don't matter. You will end up with 4 arcs with different sizes. Get the canopy and spread out. 1 end has 2 fabric ends sewn in at the middle, this is the short side, the stitched sleeve pouches are the inside. Go look at pictures for canopy. Now get the M6 x 35 screws, washers (2 per), nuts and bag with plastic tip from before. I don't know which is easier but I started on the short arc side. Set up your hardware half on each side. Slip the shortest arc through the sleeve on the short side of the canopy with the tying strings, NOTE - the sleeve ends are sewn inside and the tip of the arc can get caught . You can set this up yourself but if your helpers are still there and friendly ask for their help. The arcs connect on the OUTSIDE of the "handle". You need a plastic tip on first, then place screw/washer through plastic end tip and fit screw through handle, shortest arc attaches to holes closest to back of handle or at lowest hole to Rattan. Then washer followed by nut, tighten down into place. This was the only place to successfully use power tool on low torque setting. Do the same on other side then follow same procedure for the next 3 arcs. Finally last arc. Look at picture again noting the orientation of the tabs on 4th arc. Disconnect 1 part of arc and pass through sleeve, slip other arc into opposite end of sleeve, align poles and squeeze tab through fabric until it clicks into place. Connect like other 3 arcs. Now comes the pneumatic arms. The last bags of parts have the feet for the bottom of the unit, nut covers and 4 plastic rings. Grab the rings, the 4 M6 x 15 screws, washers - 2 per, and nuts. I started at the front bracket end. Be sure the arm tips are not tight, that they can turn easily. Screw/washer through bracket on arc, next is plastic ring, then silver end of arm through hole, washer and nut to finger tight. Do other side. If helpers still there and talking to you have them pull canopy up. Get screw set through outside of bracket on back panel near 'Handle", once through put on plastic ring. Have helpers hold canopy to align hole in pneumatic arm to the screw, then washer and nut to hand tighten. Do other side then reasonably tighten all screws not enough to bind canopy arcs. Tie fabric to back center D ring. Push canopy back and should stay down. Now pull canopy up about 1/3 way up and let go, arms should push canopy all the way up. Now jump up and down and yell YEAH and what ever expletive that comes rushing out. Last thing is the nut covers and the feet. USE the feet or you will scrape through the plastic rattan. I purchased carpet grip, extra strong, 5 x 8 which was just enough for the whole unit. The cushions still can slide but not with weight on it. I also purchased the outdoor cover for UV protection and keep it clean when not in use. It's 1 day old so I have no opinion in durability. The company does not seem to be helpful or care about seeing this product through. No directions, cheap metal screws and some poor alignment on welding nuts make this and unpleasant assembly. I don't know if other manufactures do any better. I ultimately chose this one since the canopy was stitched to hide the support arms and looking like a more finished product. Was it worth it???? I hope this helps. I think this is correct, writing this from memory the day after. If you have questions ask through Amazon email, I probably will never come back to this listing. ... show more

  • Love the new poolside chair!
Color: Beige
It wasn’t as hard to assemble as I expected. We are missing one part and are contacting customer service. It’s comfy and ever so stylish. I added a few of my own pillows I had here at the house. It’s sturdy and has these things to join and keep the parts of the chair secure together. I really don’t think it’s going to blow in our pool. The shade is pretty good. I hoped it would stay up all the way - but it mostly stays up. Ha! I really really like it. Oh and we didn’t have any problem with things not lining up when putting it together. It took my husband and me about 2 - 2 1/2 hours to put it together. Now he is a cabinet man so maybe it didn’t take us long cuz he kinda knows how to do things like that. I’m super super happy with the purchase!! ... show more

  • Pretty to look at but a pain to put together and missing some key elements to be worth the cost
Color: Black
Very difficult to put together. None of the holes match up. My recommendation would be to only tighten the screws 25 to 50% at first so that way you have a wiggle room to try to make things bend & match up. One thing to note is that they’ll be gaps and that’s OK. Also, I really don’t like is the fact that the cushions slide right off the chairs so if you have it pulled apart and somebody goes to sit down, they’ll slide right off. Another key thing to note is the little circle things on the bottoms of the pieces are extremely loose. You’ll need to tighten them there so that it doesn’t scrape on the ground. The cushions are definitely not thick. However, the material seems great for outdoors. Again, very pretty to look at. And when it’s all together, it’s actually quite nice, but not really functional as it says it is. And the top part flies back up and you have to tie it down so it’s not really that great of a cover. ... show more

  • Price is great, but it comes at a cost
the engineering is all over the map, it was made to ship in way too small of a box, the more pieces you make something, the less sturdy it is, and its so poorly engineered that the only way to correctly assemble it is to get all the screws and washers screwed in a thread or two before you tighten down ANYTHING, because if you tighten as you go, nothing will line up.. also, the last picture on the amazon page does a 10x better job of showing how the hinge assembly is put together than the 2 page "assembly instructions" this is NOT SUNBRELLA FABRIC AND IS FALSELY ADVERTISED AS SUCH, we bought this in february, which means that in 3 months of being outside in nevada the fabric has already faded from tan to white, the material hasn't started to deteriorate yet, but i feel as though thats just a matter of time, to support my conclusion thats its NOT sunbrella, they are very proud of their fabric, and its got tags and markings all over the place about what it is, this products fabric has NO MARKINGS at all, not even what the fabric is made of, or washing instructions.. ... show more
