Firstly, they shipped through UPS and UPS lost the chair - took me 2 days to get them to actually look for it and they delivered it late because of that, so if you have issues with UPS delivering to you house, beware. It's fairly comfortable to sit in, but the plastic sides under the arms dig into my thighs, and I wouldnt call this chair "ergonomic" at all. The back also digs in underneath my shoulder blades and Im an average height of 5'7". The ride is pretty rough and wobbly for the cost and it's hard to push. (this is my first wheelchair, so my review is per my current experience as a new wheelchair user) I will say that it isnt too difficult to turn, but dont think for a second that it rolls straight either. The caster wheels catch on literally every crack in the sidewalk - and the sidewalk itself is hard to roll on as well. I did a lot of research on this chair, and currently, Im pretty disappointed that I chose this one. It'll do for the rare times that I need to use it while I save up for a custom chair. Overall, I would only recommend this chair if you only need it sporadically.

The wheelchair met my needs for portability. While intuitive a complete lack of any instructions was truly detrimental. He doesn’t even have washing instructions for the pad. It comes with. Another problem is that with the foot rests attached, I could not get it to go over small bumps like the transition from the dining room to the kitchen.

I got this for my bf cause his insurance company is dragging their feet to get him his other chair. Now this chair I think would be good for a normal person's use. Not an extremest like he is. The outdoors people would have a limit of what they can do on their own. But over all the chair is put together well, and it came quick. The only complaint he had is arm rest don't come off. It's light enough for him to get it in his truck, he fell once because he forgot back rest had to come up and he flipped. He did have some difficulty getting back in but him self because well it's a new chair and he had to find grab pots so it's not tippy. Other then that great buy for what your getting.

I saw someone say this was cheaply made. Not so! It is a lightweight chair. Something I needed badly as I'm struggling to pull the old one into the car nowadays. This chair is perfect! I had polio as a baby and cannot stand or walk. My chair is my legs. I require something dependable. This chair is it! I added the tip bars at the back and chose swing-away removable footrests but chose molded armrests that don't move as I put a great pressure on them while lifting myself to dress or transfer. The chair came with padded upholstery and ergonomic that make it very comfortable and since I'm sitting from 5 a.m. until I go to bed at night, this too is important. Another feature that came with the chair was brake handles that fold! I've never seen this before. It's a wonderful feature! When I I'm doing laundry, cooking or cleaning, I need to be able to roll all the way up to cabinets or machines. I move my legs out of the way, fold the breaks down and press them forward under my legs to apply them fully. It works great! I have had my chair now for a couple of months and I love it. I am so thankful to have it. I highly recommend the Carmen S-115 25 lb ultralight ergonomic wheelchair. As with any wheelchair, it is important to use grabbers instead of Reaching Forward for things because overreaching and / or putting extra pressure into the footrests can cause the chair to tip forward. This is true of every chair I have had. Use common sense and do not over reach and you will be fine.

So happy with this wheelchair. I had been looking for a good one that wont break the bank... I noticed they had a discount because it was in the Amazon warehouse. I was a bit nervous committing to it because its not cheap on my family income.. But SO THANKFUL i did!! Best chair ever. I bought this (18” seat model) for my Mom because my house is old and the doorways and hallways are too narrow for a wider chair… it is incredibly light, snaps into place when opened and turns and rolls easily, the contoured seat is comfy according to my Mom… it’s a bit creaky but my Mom isn’t exactly petite either… the footrests are easily moved and/or removed… the biggest headache about this chair is the type of foam they use in the seat… it’s a SPONGE !!! wash the pad, put it outdoors in the sun and 3 days later it will be wet wherever you press against it although it looks dry… that means it also absorbs any fluids, this is an absolute FAIL !!! they need to change the foam to a non porous type !!! I’m going to try and cut and insert some ensolite (backpacking sleeping pad) to replace the factory foam used…
