Confucius said “Everything start difficult”, they drilled the placement holes lob sided and the pot holder didn’t fit the retainer knobs on the cook top. That’s the bad part. Now the good, called Amazon and they nullified the charge, excellent customer care. Being a retired machine operator, I simply re-drilled the holes to their exact location. The assembly is very straight forward, exactly like the instructions. You only need an adjustable gaz regulator and proper diameter hose as well as the hose retainers. Being in Florida, we need a stove top to cook during inclement weather and power failure, this is the very reason why I bought the cook top. I built a rectangular support case and fit the cook top together with a propane tank. No worry about electricity, a match will do. So that’s great isn’t it? For sure it works nicely, the glass cleans easily with orange cleaner and last but best, how about hot food during a hurricane? ... show more

Remarkable customer service that has caused me to upgrade rating to a 5. Company insisted on sending me a replacement after I had an issue with the first one that I thought I could fix. History of rating: Item arrived quickly and appeared to be in good condition, but when I went to install after very short return window had expired, the thermocouple on one burner appeared to be faulty. Burner won’t stay lit. I will pursue with Amazon since I cannot find any contact information. UPDATE: Company contacted me quickly via Amazon. Since then, i have gotten the burner working. Love the cooktop, and hope there are no more issues. Company has said it will replace if it fails. Accordingly, i rerated the product at 4 ... show more

This thing does function OK, once the propane jets are installed. But one of the switches for the sparker is flaky and somewhat temperamental, the other one works fine. The Amazon produce description says this produce is returnable, after you buy it they say it is NOT RETURNABLE, What a bunch of Bullpucky! The grill is indexed to the glass top with 2 pins so it doesn't slide around. The holes in the grill were not drilled in the proper place so the grill hangs off to one side about a 1/4 of an inch, and does not align with the glass top. Sloppy Workmanship! Same thing on the underside. The metal frame of the burner unit is glued to the underside of the glass. But it was not put on straight. So the edge the unit rests on when you route it into your cabinet is uneven and inconsistent. They give you weather-strip style foam tape for it to sit on, which will probably take care of it, but there is a good chance it will not sit flush with the cabinet surface, one side standing proud, or sunken down slightly. I think they need to get more Care-full workers and pay them more, and to invest in simple jigs such that the holes can only be drilled in the correct placement Update First thing Monday morning after submitting this review I got several email from the seller of this produce They very much want to make all their customers happy They offered a replacement or a refund, I took the refund Something is off (for this product) with the normal Amazon replace/refund process, which is usually very simple. such that it appears Amazon wont do a return, after you buy it, when they stated before you bought it that it was returnable. I think it is Amazons problem Anyway , the truth is the seller is highly motivated to make things right, just ask.
