I’m new to playing the ukulele but one thing I have noticed so far is you can’t go wrong with a Kala Uke. Makala ukes come from Kala so I was confident this Uke would be a good one. Well it is. Finished very nicely, the setup makes it easy to play. The quality of the workmanship is great. The sound when play unplugged or really good, plugged into an amp I would rate it as good. This is a wonderful upgrade from a soprano uke. Sound is great, but strings have a wee bit of trouble staying in tune the first couple of days, but they get used to it eventually. It can even be used as a baritone uke when you tune it down. Love it. Buy it

I tried to work with this tenor uke but it was just a very poor quality product. The tension keys would not keep its key, slowly goes out of key due to poor parts of uke

Sound was OK , came with the cheaper strings, doesn't stay in tune for very long, but overall an inexpensive acoustic electric and when in Tune the sound is above average.

Perfect. Just buy it. Not the fanciest electronics, but they work, and it's a great uke. Makala is a solid brand, and this is a bargain. I shopped and compared, and I can tell you with confidence that this is a great ukulele for the money. Just buy it.

I bought this for my mom for mothers day but i also play it frequently as well. Beautifully rich sound and great action. It has audio controls on the top which allow for more low or high end depending on your preference. It's a tenor Uke which means it's a little longer than a traditional which for me makes it much easier to play. ... show more
