Style: AC/DC Current

Features

  • True-RMS clamp meter: This multimeter can accurately measure AC/DC Current, AC/DC Voltage, Frequency or Duty Cycle, Resistance, Capacitance and also provides Diode, Continuity and Temperature tests. True RMS for accurate measurements on non-linear loads. Easy to use for labs factories and household.
  • LowZ & LPF: Low input impedance helps prevent false readings due to ghost voltage. Low Pass Filter (LPF) for accurate measurement of variable frequency drive signals when measuring motors and transformer. To measure the current you need to clamp the meter around one of the wires and not the whole power cord.
  • NCV Detection Function: Non-contact voltage detection effectively check electrical status through measuring EM field intensity without touching any wires; The NCV button lies on the right side. Simply place your thumb on it and push.
  • Multi-function: Two-color backlit LCD Display - When the voltage > 80V, the current > 3A, the LCD backlit screen turns red to warn you of high voltage/ LED Flashlight / Temperature Measurement for liquids and air conditioning ports included K-Type Thermocouple / Low Battery Indication / Auto power off after 15 minutes inactivity.
  • Safety Service: Safety standard IEC 61010-1, CAT III 600V. Double insulation. 36 Months product service provided. 7/24 Customer Service.

  • Good buy at this price!
Size: 4000 Counts Style: Only AC Current
Has every feature that my Fluke has at work and seems to function just as well. Easy-to-read monitor and a handy little case. Has the look and feel of a quality unit.

  • Excellent Digital Clampmeter.
Size: 6000 Counts Style: AC/DC Current
I must state that I am NOT a professional electrician nor am I an electrician by trade. I am a technology enthusiast. I design and deploy networks, hardware installations, repairs and personnel software provisioning. I needed to add a digital clamp meter to my growing tools set. A clamp meter because I want to be able to measure amperage as well. I needed something capable, durable and with a decent amount of functionality. This came up in my search and then I moved on to investigating it through YouTube reviews. My dad was a service technician so I had an idea of some of the functions that I wanted. This HT206D is impressive. As an artist and someone nearly obsessed with design, I appreciate its form and the colours are lovely. Predominantly red and black with white and orange for labelling and one grey rubber button. The clamp is firm and while I thought I would have had a reservation about the body being made of plastic instead of rubber, it turns out it is a non issue. I have big hands so nearly everything is relatively small in them. This is small to me and also very comfortable. The way a little of the circumference of the dial overlaps the edge of the tester, it is easier to use for a one handed operation which makes it convenient for you to use your other hand to manage the probes, which, are very decent quality. The cables are soft and pliable so there is virtually no resistance in getting them to the contacts that you're trying to reach. The overall boil of this is sturdy and has no feeling of cheapness or anyone cutting corners to compromise on anything. The features are as good as the best I can guess. Firstly, this is a Direct Current AND Alternating Current tester. You don't have to chose between having one or the other. The display is big and clearly visible. Even if ambient lighting is not sufficient for you, backlight facilitates clear, legible readings all the time. If you want a comprehensive list of the features, they are listed here on the amazon page, as well as numerous other sites with reviews. I must add though, that the thermometer is a really nice additional peripheral. I can't say for now what cases I can think of where I will have need for it but it is an additional value. Like I stated earlier, I am not an electrician by trade. However, the data I have seen others collect on other forums, compared to more finely tuned instruments, are only dissimilar by a negligible margin and personally, they align with what is expected. In addition to this being an AC/DC tester, I bought it because of the 600 Volt capacity. I can say with certainty that I will NOT find myself in any environment needing a higher capacity than that. My home uses 110/115 volts with 220 volts for a small number of appliances. My car has a 12 volt battery and my alternator gives me close to 15 volts. Not to mention that the everyday consumer electronics dont consume much electricity or produce any power to even reach have of what this can test. It was a comfortable buy and if you're an every day person, a hobbyist or even a professional, the capabilities of this tester will not come up short of what you require. ... show more

  • Good deal for the $$$ with a few quirks
Size: 6000 Counts Style: AC/DC Current
Works well, seems to be accurate and reasonably fast in most cases. The build quality is good and it can be operated easily into the various modes with one hand. It has some quirks - mostly not very annoying. Like most clamp meters. it can't be easily propped up to free your hands. If there's no place to clamp it up where I can see the screen, I generally need to lay it down flat. I will probably make a holder for the workbench, though that may not help in the field. I have noticed that the audible continuity mode will beep, briefly stop, and then beep continuously when there's no apparent contact bounce (i.e. an LED connected to the same switch does not blink). A few very common (for me) actions require a long-press, such as zeroing the DC ammeter or switching to proximity detection mode. The UX could be better. I sometime have to cycle through all the ammeter modes because of releasing the "zero" button too soon. Several of the dial settings modes then require pressing a button for the "sub-mode" and my most used modes are not the "default" requiring me to tap a few times. It also seems to lack the ability to do small-current inline measurement (e.g. single-digit milliamps. Such a feature has led to the frying of many meters, which is probably why they didn't include it!). The Hall effect sensor is sensitive, nice and includes the direction of DC current. I do sometimes wish for smaller clamp-arm cross section size, as I work with many tight wiring situations in RVs and sometimes struggle to get a wire far enough out of the bundle of wires. Despite these quirks, it is a good meter and I feel it will give years of good service. The included batteries have not yet died through many hours of use. ... show more

  • Great for budget and accurate as any other!
Size: 4000 Counts Style: Only AC Current
I bought this as a budget tester for work as I don't use them that much. But its exceeded my expectations! Its as accurate reading as more expensive brands and havent had any issues since the day I got it in!

  • Good product
Size: 6000 Counts Style: AC/DC Current
I am a professional mechanic for the power sports business. I use all kinds of tools from delegate to extremely durable. Electronics is a big part of the future. More and more every day I got. This is just a general tester to allow me to do things around the shop itself with the loop, measuring amp, draw, etc. I got to say it's been a good little meter. Easy to use. Easy to read and does have some advance modes that allows me to do a few things so I'm very happy with it. So far I have flukes, snap-ons, Mac , matco as of now it compares to them. Maybe not quite as rugged but I can be a little gentle but so far I've dropped it. No problems ... show more

  • I wanted to hate it, but I love it.
Size: 6000 Counts Style: AC/DC Current
as a professional mechanic I wanted to know that my 200 and 300 dollar fluke, field piece, and UEI meters were totally worth their price. I wanted to find that these are inaccurate, delicate, unreliable hunks of junk. But I can’t say any of that. I have tested this extensively alongside my other meters; ohms, temperature, amps, millivolts, volts ac/dc, microfarads, diodes, all accurate across the board. So why am I paying 10 times the price for my other meters? They aren’t even made in the USA. If I was a tech starting out, I’d buy these. Even if they break in a year or two, you can buy almost 10 of them for the price of one of the other guys. ... show more

  • Works for me and highly regarded by others
Size: 6000 Counts Style: AC/DC Current
I saw this reviewed on a FB DIYee group as a great tool at a great price for non-professional users. I’ve had it a few days now and have learned to use the basics to identify powered vs non powered cables as I’m remodeling my home and it is workin g flawlessly. physically it’s smaller Than I expected so fits in my tool pouch well, and seems well enough made, it’s not a Fluke or Klein in quality, and I’m not sure if the tolerances are as good, but it does the basics that I need ... show more
