I’ve djed for about 7 years. I’m 23 and can hear sound quality great. I had a $1200 EV subwoofer I returned and got this. Sounds not AS good but still not noticeably different to the normal persons ear. You can feel the bass, the kicks, and it’s crisp and deep. AMAZING for the price. My first one burnt out after completely pushing it to the limit 24/7 in fog filled rooms, lasted about 3 years. Bought another and it’s the updated version it’s even nicer. Customer service doesn’t speak very good English but they’re somewhat helpful. I recommend. I usually play rap, dubstep, and country (nice variety right?) and it sounds great on all genres ... show more

    • This 18 in powered sub is great.
I purchased 1 18 in powered sub for my garage parties. It's a 4 car garage and the bass is great for me. I read the reviews and made sure to not push the sub to clipping a lot or sustained clipping. That will damage most any speaker. You may want 2 or 4 if youre hip-hop heavy and looking for that deep chest punching bass, but it works great for me. The built in crossover is protecting my loud speakers from damage from pushing them with bass to hard. I'm very happy with this sub. ... show more

My wife and I just started an event center and we decided to offer DJ service. I had most of what I needed because I used to DJ for our house parties but when I brought my system to our new place I realized I needed more bass sound. Since we just started this business I didn’t want to spend a ton of cash. Today is the second day with this sub and I like it so much. Gave me the full sound I was lacking.     • It feels good.
So smooth. And it cranks. Well before peaking, it rattles the house, vibrates the floor right into your feet. And you can feel the sound on your skin. It seems like half the music is missing when you turn it off, like I hadn't truly heard the bass line before on Zeppelin's 'Since I've Been Loving You'. I figured I might as well see what happens when I add it to my system while playing a 6-string electric. I hadn't realized such beautiful low tones were possible from a guitar. The sounds wrap right around you like a big sonic hug. So nice. You might want to try that. It's huge and heavy, so it's kind of overkill in my living room right now (and so is the PA system) but I don't care. I love this thing. I do wish it had more options for connecting it to other devices/speakers, etc. You get XLR and RCA ins and outs, and I couldn't get the RCA outputs to work when I was using the XLR inputs. So I had to be creative in finding ways to run my signal through the rest of the system. You might need to get adapters or something. No big deal, really. FYI, I've had it for a week now. So I can't be sure of its long-term durability. But it sure seems solid. And it's good-looking, in case you care. ... show more

    • Sounded GREAT til it stopped at 4 months. They sent a replacement amp - It's DEAD after 6 months.
The media could not be loaded. From May 26, 2022: Well, the replacement plate amp they sent just went bad. It's defective, exactly as the first one was. Worked for awhile, then suddenly, Not Working. I am very upset and almost out of their 1 year warranty. With 2 going bad within 9 months, I would like my money back... From Jan 2022: My initial experience with Proreck was positive, when back in August, they honored a special deal that I had discovered, (by now expired) and so, after reading the reviews and looking high and low for another Pro-Audio (Active, Class-D, xlr inputs/outputs, Low pass filter for PA uppers) I ordered the sub for my home stereo system. I had a little noise and hum initially, but I already had a ground loop isolator (passive) and that took care of that. I have never pushed this thing hard, its in my family room, and there's no need. This Sub worked awesome, delivering a tight, crisp DEEP low end punch, and nicely controlled by the output level and adjustable cut-off.... until yesterday. I turned it on, as usual, and was shocked to get a pulsing noise. A very awful and annoying noise. Strangely, according to a local speaker tech I spoke with, the amp still powers on, and will allow signal to pass thru to the uppers, which doesn't happen if the amp is dead or powered off. But THAT was a nightmare. It's definitely got a major issue, because I couldn't stand to hear the Low-End Rattling "Bass" along with my uppers. So, I'm hoping and praying that Proreck takes care of me and honors the warranty. I contacted Amazon who informed me to contact the Manufacturer. I tried and tried to located a phone number, between their Amazon Store, website and Facebook, but no luck. So I'm waiting for an email. If they can make this right, I will be 100% satisfied, as long as they can also maybe give some idea as to why this happened... Either the internal power supply (most likely) or the amp itself has failed. The Speaker tech said that these "Switching" type of power supplies and Class-D amp circuitry is so complex, that to try and diagnose, troubleshoot and repair, would be double what it costs, quite possibly, and so that is not an option. ... show more

This sub bumps! I’m using it in my quad amp live sound system. The 15” subs I have only go down to 70 hz. I’m using the sub to pick up 35-70 range. I’m impressed with the sound. My system just rocks now with kick ass low end. It’s been running for 4-months now without issues. I’m probably going to get another one. ... show more
