Description
Kaiser Mini 3 with Folding Arm is a small, inexpensive, plastic slide viewer. The unit is powered by 2 "AA" batteries (not included) and features a 3x magnifying lens and pull out hinged support bracket for angled viewing. To use, place the slide in the top slot, press down on it, and the bulb is pressure activated on. The viewer measures 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.5" (89 x 63.5 x 63.5 mm) and has a 2x2" viewing area.

PERFECT to view my dad's old slides

Seems old slide projectors have a limited life span. Ours didn't work and I couldn't find a working projector in my price range. This little slide viewer saved the day! It magnifies each slide just enough for me to be able to distinguish people and places. It lights up only when you gently push the slide into the slit at the top. (No on/off switch.) Very simple, which is what I wanted. My dad had 29 slide carousels, each with 80 to 140 slides. Even though I could only view one slide at a time, and had to manually put the slide into the slot, gently press it down to light the viewer, and then pull the slide out of the slit, it made fast, easy work of looking through a couple thousand slides. I am very pleased with this simple, easy to use slide viewer.

Just what I needed

I needed something to give me a general idea of what was on slides. I have boxes which contained decades of old family slides. I wanted to keep the best and to cut down on the number I scanned to my computer. This slide viewer gave me a general idea of who was in the slide, quality and composition. I didn't need a viewer to show all the details, just give me a quick overview. I also wasn't planning on looking at more than a couple of boxes at a time so pushing the slide down to activate the light was easy.

Purchased two for looking at old family pictures. My Dad & Mom (she turns 99 this month) took a volume of pictures over the years. Many slides are from the 70's. Wanted Mom the opportunity to re-view the slides and share with other family members. So easy to use, hold or sit on the table for viewing. Light is great. Product is perfect and for a very reasonable price.

Disappoined!!

I can't figure how to get the slide in the viewer! I try to put the slide in and there is something blocking it from going down. There were no instructions with the viewer. I want to send it back, but the note in the package said it could be returned if the package wasn't opened. Now, how could I see the item I ordered if I didn't open the package?? Also, the viewer was $6 cheaper the week before. And I thought I would get $10 for joining the AMAZON charge account and Never received it. I loved the other items I received and the price was very good.

Sorting slides

This gadget is a wonderful way to sort slides and decide which ones are worth reformatting and which ones can be tossed. I inherited 2000 slides and have winnowed the ones I want to keep to 200+. It's lightweight and the picture clarity is very good.

The Kaiser 202010 slide viewer is well made and does what I expected it to. It is not a big viewing area- 2 3/8" x 1 7/8", or 3" diagonally. If it was 4" or 4 1/2" diagonally, it would be perfect. But the image is large enough to see most features on a slide and the backlighting is bright and the image clarity is good. If all you want to do is sort and view your slides, it is fine for that.
