Description

This K&N NextGen cold air intake system is engineered for Dodge Charger V8 5.7L F/I. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow by 16.7% to your engine and provides an increase of 23.5 horsepower and 18.39 torque with no tune required. This intake system is paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow LIFETIME Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. So overall I am happy, gives the car a nice little sound of air rushing in when you get on it…. One little annoyance…. The plastic screw that connects the rubber return hose didn’t fit on my air intake and I stripped the plastic threading… K&N sent a replacement screw…. While waiting I went to Home Depot and bought a brass one from the plumbing/landscaping section and a small hose clamp… 7 bucks and it worked better ... show more

I purchased the new nextgen option for my Challenger R/T. I feel a bit of a stronger pull at peak RPMs. Throttle response is a little more touchy. You can hear the winding sound if you have the windows down but other than that mostly i can't really hear a significant difference. but i was just looking for better airflow and a minor power bump. Obviously a tune and some long tube headers would make this more worth the money. One problem in my installation: the hose clamp that came with the kit for the filter going into the airbox broke under little force. I had to pick up another one from my local part store. otherwise- install is a piece of cake. ... show more
