I submitted a before and after picture. I installed this in a 2002 Dodge Ram with a 4.7 L V8 engine. The instructions were clear and simple. It took about 2 hours to complete the whole job. Most of the time that was spent was removing all the old air box and resonator, after that installing the K&N was fairly simple. I am very pleased with the results. The increase in horsepower is dramatic and it has a nice rumble to the engine. It takes off from a dead stop like a bat out of hell. I checked my fuel economy and it increased it by about one tenth of a mile per gallon. So that wasn't much, but I really bought it for the increase in horsepower so I am happy. Good instructions & easy removal and install

this is a very good product... big bang for small buck. I removed the stock equipment in about 15 minutes. it took about another 15 minutes to assemble and about the same to install. the 4.7 awoke and now has a nice growl and more giddy up and go. the instructions make it easy to remove the old and install the new...just every day mechanic tools & its done. I have a old craftsman 160 piece tool set. I used 3 sockets an 3 open / closed wrench's and a flat head screw driver. I ride Harley's therefore I learned to wrench. honestly if one can read and look at pictures...anyone can install this bolt on upgrade. K&N has been doing it for a long time...everything went together as it should....GOOD PRODUCT, just buy it you will be happy that you did! ... show more

If you Own a 07 RAM 1500 4.7, this is a must. I was blown away when i installed this and took my truck on the interstate. The Instructions was easy to follow but again am an engineer and i was able to use my tools at home and had no trouble. The only down side was the O2 sensor for the 07 rams has to be installed on the new tube after you drill a hole in it and place the rubber seal. Other than that you can feel and hear the difference. My truck runs better. I got almost 10 extra HP and 9.8 Ft Lbs of torque. Looks good too. Great buy, i should off got it earlier. ... show more

It took me a while to install, a couple of the bolts that were specified were specified as the wrong size, so I had to go through an assortment of wrenches and ratchets to get the job done. It took Mr about 2.5 hours to do it, not fun but not absolutely horrible either. When I finished I cranked the engine and had my friend rev it while I checked for air leaks. Everything was snug and secure so we closed the hood and took it out on the road. I noticed that it was a bit more peppy and eager from a dead stop. Bbnut when I accelerated to get on the highway? My god.... that 4.7 woke up, and for the first time since I bought the truck it totally amazed me. I literally started laughing at the sound it made and the response it had. My friend loomed at me and said "I need to get one of these for my 5.7 hemisphere. If you get me one and help me install it, you can consider that my wedding gift." Definitely a must by, highly recommend for both the 4.7 and 5.7 ram 1500 owners. ... show more

works well i guess... not 100% sure sice i did cai, throttle body spacer, and programmer at the same time i changed my heads... the reason for not being 5 star is that when mounted with all tge stuff i added it sits in front of the dipstick to where u cant check ur oil with out bending the tube up a little and the oil fill is located directly below the intake tube... so its tough to get the cap and i had to buy a new funnel to fill my oil... not a huge deal but thats the only complaint... it is really nice and much better than the old spectre cai i had.... ... show more

JESUS CHRIST! Are the first words I mumbled when I lightly pressed on the gas peddle and my truck, a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L V8 Mag almost flew. If youre looking for a nice roar from the engine, and increased throtle response along with with the Cold Air benefits in your combustion chamber, this is for you. More Horsepower and or better gas millage, I dont know... I get 15 city so im immpartial if it improves or not. SHOOT im excited the get on the freeway.! MY TRUCK IS BORN AGAIN BOYS.! ... show more

Got this in the mail in two days. The directions were not so great, but if you are handy its no problem. It bolted right into the hood and the only thing you really had to do yourself was to drill a hole for the temperature sensor. Otherwise It was great and took about 30 minutes. It gives my ram a great throaty sound pair with the flowmasters. I have not seen a decrease in gas consumption, but that was expected because you won't really see that until you install a chip and reconfigure the car. I recommend this to anyone who wants to improve the sound of their truck and wants a fun quick add on to the truck. -Jake ... show more

took me a little bit over an hour and a half to install with little to no mechanical skill. It has a slight whistle with low amount of gas, but this is normal for CAI's. I don't know about the mpg gain just because i haven't been able to keep the pedal off of the floor! I have all stock in my 05 ram 4.7l 1500, but from the sound the engine makes, people think I have some serious stuff in it now. Like others say it REALLY comes alive around 2500+ rpms! best investment I've made for my truck hands down! The instructions are a little vague at best, but when you're confused just look at the exploded view on the front, and it's easy enough to see what goes where. ... show more
