Description

This K&N cold air intake system is engineered for your vehicle. A mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine and provides a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque with no tune required. This intake system is paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow LIFETIME Air Filter™ featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. A custom designed open heat shield helps protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 60 minutes. I got a nice handmedown Pathfinder from the wife and thought to myself, how can I make this car cooler so that I feels like mine? Well, the only thing I could really find for a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder was this intake. I threw this bad boy on and immediately noticed an increase in performance (HP). The engine note is sportier too. I haven’t even noticed a decrease in fuel economy as I continue to average 18-23 MPG. A pain in the a.. to install, as it's a tight spot to work in. Overall, worth the 3 hours it took to install in my 13' Nissan Altima. I will give my two cents and say install the K&N intake tube that holds the mass air sensor first before tighting anything down (referring to the heat shield). I found it easier to install the intake tube that way because of the tight spot and you have to install the hump/coupling hoses first. Gives you room to squeeze the tube into the hoses. The package came in 3 days after I placed the order instead of the 2 days as advertised through prime. However, there was zero damage to the box and it was all there as advertised. Installation took about 1.5 hours between 2 people. The process is straight forward, but the space we were working with was very tight and hard to work within. Everything had to fit in just perfect or it wasn't going to work. The pictures of the step by step directions was very nice to have, but some steps were unclear and you had to use some luck to get it right. It's better to be lucky than good!! We did not have to disconnect the negative lead to the battery as directed in the first step. The biggest problem were the different screws - there should have been a hardware matrix. The directions make you kind of guess which screw to use and that was a bit troublesome. After its all said and done, the trouble of putting it in was all worth it!! This intake sounds amazing and you can really feel the extra power & sound the intake provides. After I get passed my lead foot on the pedal, I'm looking forward to the extra mpg's this intake will provide!!! ... show more

I found the installation was very easy and instructions were not complicated at all. After install there is a huge difference in sound. Sounds awesome. I have also noticed a slight increase in throttle response. I'm sure you could probably get better gas mileage if vehicle is driven normal, but my foot in the floor will offset that while I listen to the low growl this thing makes. Great product from K and N installed this on my 2014 Nissan Pathfinder sounds great engine feels more responsive. Pathfinder feels less like a mini van makes it fun to drive this vehicle again.
