  • Great product!
Style: Roto-Molded
Just finished the install on a 2013 Tacoma V6. It took me around 2.5 hours. I should mention I'm a novice. The instructions are very easy to follow with good pictures to match the descriptions. I used them without the internet and did just fine. The only weird part is reinstalling the air pump with the provided brackets, not a perfect fit, but it's pretty snug and secure, I think. You'll need an extra pair of hands for this step. Throttle response has improved and the engine roars while accelerating. The engine sounds normal until you put your foot down. Pretty cool! I sensed modest HP gain, but nothing amazing. I don't know about gas savings yet, too soon to tell. Overall this product is great, I highly recommend! ... show more

  • Easier than most people post
Style: Roto-Molded
Purchased this for my 2014 Tacoma TRD Off Road package. I had the dealership add the TRD cat-back exhaust system which I really like. The price for this and statistics were better than the TRD Cold Air Intake so I decided to purchase the K&N unit. For all of those people that have voiced complaints on the directions and how hard it is to install, you should probably stop working on cars. The operation is not hard at all as long as you follow the instructions step by step and look at the pictures frequently. The hardest part is the one bolt that goes through the bottom of the fender and needs a helping hand to hold a wrench on one end. I have plenty of tools to that was not that hard for me. Performance? Pretty amazing! With this and the new exhaust I can break the tires loose on hard acceleration, no problem. Very good torque range now too. Mileage has gone up a little, probably 1 - 2 miles per gallon. Though with the great sound and power its easy to put your foot in it a bit more. Great purchase! ... show more

  • However it was pretty straight forward
Style: Roto-Molded
This took me a little longer to install. However it was pretty straight forward. I can definitely say if feels like more horsepower and I like how it sounds when I hit the accelerator. I would recommend this to others. My verdict is still out on the increased gas mileage. Great product!

  • To me the sound is better than what it was before
Style: Roto-Molded
I installed this on my 2012 tacoma and it made a huge difference in performance. It does make it louder in the cab when you accelerate quickly but not when accelerating normally. To me the sound is better than what it was before. This is a great product and performance upgrade. The only thing I would say that bad about it is that the mounts for moving the second air blower leaves it wobly. I wish it where more stable. But I would deffentily recommend this product! ... show more

  • HP increase
Style: Roto-Molded
Received the package on time. Instructions weren't always clear but it wasn't that difficult to install. I read the online forums and quite a few said all you would get is a lot of noise and no power gain. The intake is loud under full throttle but I don't plan to have my foot in it all the time. The advertised 8 horse power gain isn't accurate as the number has to be higher. The truck was fast to start with but accelerates much faster now and there is no way to get that kind of acceleration out of 8 hp. Will be checking the mileage over the few tanks to see if there is an improvement. I am looking forward to getting a cat back next. . ... show more

  • K&N delivers
Style: Metal
We installed this on my son's 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport 4.0 in about two hours. Some have done it faster but we took our time and enjoyed some quality father/son time. There are instructions in the box and videos online so you can visually see someone doing the steps. The only issue we had was there was a rubber coupling missing that goes into the heat shield but upon contacting K&N customer service they had one out to us the next day. Please don't expect this product to make your Tacoma a beast but expect good looks and a nice sound. He did tell me that his gas mileage has gone down a bit but I fully expected that as to hear it you have to press it. ... show more

  • Not for the 2015 tacoma
Style: Roto-Molded
I was supper hopeful for this intake system. Instructions were easy enough to follow but once finished and ready for the test drive it wouldn't run. I then went rummaging through other reviews and found a 2 star with the same problems. I don't usually read 2 star reviews, and K&N didn't advertise against it so I bought it. Needless to say it simply doesn't work for the 15's. Bummer ... show more

  • Product worked after a lot of fitting but not happy about melted hole in actual intake tube.
Style: Roto-Molded
The product works now after having to modify it. I had to use gorilla tape to cover the hole in the actual intake and one of the hose fittings just freely spun so I could barely get a quarter of the threads used. I’m not happy with the product and probably won’t be buying from K&N again unfortunately. ... show more
