I have tried sooooo many ankle compression sleeves trying to find the right one for various reasons: comfort, support, compression, reduce swelling and pain, fit inside shoe comfortably, not adding pain to my problem with seams and straps, etc. The feel of the material is like none other, the hem that goes around the arch of the foot is thin and soft yet durable so you are not having that feeling of walking on it adding irritation or pain, the compression is excellent without feeling too constrictive like it’s cutting off circulation as well. The top hem/band lays nicely and doesn’t cut into my leg making it comfortable for all day wear. It stays in place, It’s breathable and you can wear it when resting as well which I liked. I recently tried Bauerfeind & Sleeve Stars ,they were uncomfortable and many others with and without straps. Modvel hands down has brought down my swelling in one day, I have Peroneal Tendonitis I am currently being treated for. I have had issues with my foot and ankle on and off for years. Modvel Foot & Ankle Brace Socks feel great and work amazingly well. They are comfortable, supportive, and easy to wear all day. My feet and ankles feel more stable, especially during walks, workouts, or long hours standing. The fit is snug without being tight, and they really help a lot.

The material is soft, high-quality, and feels nice to wear. It leaves a slight compression mark around the top part of my leg when I take it off, but it's not painful or restrictive at all. This is just a quick note to say that I got this once before from a friend, size Large, and they work great. Snug and keep my foot pain free. But it was lost, so I got another. These aren't the same size, so I'm not getting the 'snug' I had last time, I'm going to have to order the Medium, hoping it works like the lost one did. ... show more

I wear these for all of my runs and they provide great support while not providing too much compression. The quality is top notch and I haven’t noticed them sliding around in any way. I won’t run without them as my old joints need all the help they can get.

Actually really great for light compression/weak ankles. Perfect for after a long day of walking or can slip in shoes and it looks like a sock for daytime use. Doesn't beat a real compression sock but a really comfortable everyday solution if ankles are your issue.

    • Sizing plus consider this a Brace for support after the injury swelling

Sizing was difficult to figure out for this product. For a shoe size 7 with sturdy ankles though evidently not that sturdy because I rolled one and had a bad sprain. I ordered a small and a medium because there was no way to know ahead of time. The small was out. I tried the medium. The medium created bumps on the front where the foot bends there is a circle there in a different thread pattern you can see it in the product images. This area with the lump bumps ended up creating dents in my foot where the swelling filled up in stripes across the top area of my foot. It didn't end up being smooth. I used this during a New England heatwave — with the swelling even the medium ended up being problematic. There was a lot of swelling of the forefoot where the brace didn't reach, then I ended up having a bizzare pain in my calf above the the ankle injury and took the brace off because I thought it could have been blocking circulation in a bad way. The area of the brace does a good job of keeping swelling down but the fluids had no place to go and were backing up on both sides of it. My foot was quite purple below my ankle bone and lots of pooled blood discoloration on my foot in spots. Blood clots can be so dangerous. The calf pain felt better after a few hours without this thing on so in the end I didn't end up using this product for more than a day and a half. I think this product would be great for added support when an injury has healed enough that it isn't in the swollen stage. When you want to get back out there and get your workouts in with support for a weakened ankle. I reverted to an old fashioned ankle wrap ace bandage that I have had for years for this ankle injury. Also just saying this here: Don't think anyone should sleep or nap with this thing on, let your injury get the benefits of blood flow to heal. And if you experience a pain in your calf have it checked out or simply take it off and see if it improves and goes away. I gave this product 4 stars even though it failed for me. I think it would be great for getting back to your workouts whatever they might be. I returned the small . . . ... show more
